Toilet Floof (floofinition) – 1. An animal obsessed with toilets, or commodes.
In use: “Ranger was a classic toilet floof. She didn’t care about people using the toilet (that interested her not at all), but the excitement the German Shepherd had when it flushed…oh, man.”
In use: : “Calliope decided that the toilet seat in the master suite was the perfect place to curl up for naps, and that’s where the little toilet floof was always to be found (well, when she wasn’t eating), making her people wonder what had happened in the rescue’s life before she came to them.”
2. An animal who likes to drink out of the toilet.
In use: “It horrified Jill to no end, but her cat was a toilet floof addicted to drinking toilet water. Water bowls filled with fresh water were everywhere, but the cat always headed for the toilet bowl.”
We have had toilet floofs in the past, though none of our current batch seem to have an interest. We had one who would routinely fall in while trying to drink from the toilet. Thus, we got into the habit of keeping the lids closed at all times!

I suspected that a Jill out there may have such a floof tale in her past. Yep, must keep lids closed; I have one that likes to look in as I’m standing up and doing my thing…

Ah, now THAT might be just a little off-putting! As long as they don’t try to attack!

Charlie Bruiser O’Houlihan is a toilet floof. Somehow he’s obsessed with the noise it makes when one flushes it….and is curious enough to lay on the bathmat waiting for someone to come along and do so.

That’s a great name. His antics reminds me of a cat who’d hear it and go racing in to check it out.
