Floofback

Floofback (floofinition) – a housepet who sleeps on their back; a housepet who sleeps on another housepet’s back; a housepet who sleeps on people’s backs.

In use: “A true floofback, Crystal loved hopping onto my back whenever I lay down on my stomach, curl up, and go to sleep.”

  1. Floofycat often sleeps on her back with her front paws folded close to her chest; we call that her “caterpillar” pose. (I thought it was funny when I found out that caterpillar is basically floofycat in French.)

    1. What a great tidbit. Now I know where caterpillar comes from.

My inspiration for this floofinition today was Boo. The big black feline was sleeping on his back, rear legs sprawled out, front paws tucked in like he was begging, snoring heavily. I call it his backward cat pose. I like your expression better. Cheers
