Flooftricity (floofinition) – 1. Current and discharge animals create when being petted.
In use: “One must be careful when stroking a pet’s soft fur, as it arouses their flooftricity, and you’re likely to experience sparking.”
2. The mutual attraction between two or more animals, or between animals and people.
In use: “When she came home, the flooftricity jumped sky-high as her dogs bounded to her to kiss her face and her cats rubbed against her legs.”
Oh man then Charlie has flooftricity all the time, he’d probably be able to power a couple of houses with the flooftricity he has going on, lol.

Same with Boo, and he hates the spark and shock, starts hissing and complaining, you know, like I’M DOING THAT TO HIM.

I hate the flooftricity at this time of year. I always worry that they think I’m hurting them deliberately.

I know! Then they shy away from me but came back, and it happens again. So confusing for them, poor lil’ floofheads.

It would be really nice to be able to explain things to them (they’d probably ignore our explanations anyway, but still).

Yes. You ever try explaining why you can’t feed them/pet them/let them sit on your lap right now? (I’m sure you have.) Still they persist.

Their persistence is some kind of lesson to us. Not sure what, but I’m sure of it.

Yes, write like a cat: persist, and show the world that you’re not moved by their entreaties.

That’s a great lesson!
