Flooflumph (floofinition) – 1. (noun) a housepet’s movement with heavy tread. 2. (verb) (slang) a term used in reference to a clumsy housepet.

Yes, a perfect analogy for what I hear in my house as these quiet beasts thump across the floor. Fog feet is a wonderful floofism.

Thinking about this today as I listened to one of the cats gracefully thud across the wooden floor and realized that their pawfalls sounded like, “Flooflumph, flooflumph.” Made me think of the fog thumps – fomps. “Fomp, fomp, fomp, fomp…fomp fomp fomp!”
