Some cats occasionally speak in a doggish dialect (and although less common, some dogs speak in a cattish dialect) just to confuse humans who are trying to figure out what the floofs are saying.

You’re right, but floofologist also theorize that cats and dogs learn the other’s dialect to bridge the gap between the species and take over the world.
