A friend posted on FB about her clothes getting stuck on door handles. Another responded, “their way of telling you to slow down and reflect”.
That nudged my mind into singing, “Slow down, you move too fast. You got to make the morning last.”
Then Simon & Garfunkel began performing “The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy)” from 1971. I’m sharing it with you to dislodge it from my mind. Please sing along.
Please.
It’s Murphy’s Law that whenever you are really stressed out, something stupid will happen to make you even more upset!

I am singing it and I probably won’t stop singing. Thus the cycle spirals onward.

I like that word, groovy. Like it comes through my mind and out my mouth: groovy, you know?

Yes. Very onomatopoeia-ish

The song spiral spreads out until we’e all singing it. Suddenly a musical brings out across the country! Black Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter, MAGAs and Progressives all joining hands, singing and dancing with Proud Boys and police officers… You get it. We’re all feeling groovy.

We are the (singing, humming, spiraling) ones we’ve been waiting for!
