  1. Hi. Michael this one resonates with me because of the respect I have for you and several other self-published authors I have followed. All with great talent. But recently you said I was as much a writer as you are which is very kind of you. But I don’t in any way put in the effort you or they do. You hone your craft to a knifes edge to keep the reader with you going as you direct. I simply pour my feelings out on the screen and what happens tends to stick if I get lucky. Recently I asked if you worked from the conclusion to the start, but as the meme says “but the only way is the one that works for you”. Grand.

Thank you for sharing your work with us, it is very interesting to me how authors do their craft. Plus you are so dedicated to it! I wonder if it is an itch you can’t scratch until you get things the way you want. Sorry I just realized how long winded I am being, but the truth is I admire people like you who give their effort to the craft of writing. So many have ideas, yet so few work on developing the idea to something the reader falls in love with. You do. Thank you. Hugs

    1. Scottie, thank you for your affirming comments. I’m flattered by your opinion.

This one resonated with me as well. Many books used to guide people as this is the only way to do it. But whatever works for a writer is the way to do it. And that way changes between efforts. What works for one effort can easily be different when the next project begins.

You give me kudos about honing my craft. But I think we’re both writers doing the same thing because of the bottom line: it comes down to us thinking about what we’re thinking about, and then trying to write about it.

It’s all a journey for understanding. Hugs ‘n cheers, my friend. M
