Enlargement on a bit of history and a reminder of what civil disobedience can do, when it’s done right. It can be useful to apply this knowledge to what we’re now enduring under the Trump Regime and right-wing activists who want to turn back time in the U.S. and world. Cheers

Too many people are too young and ill educated concerning Hitler and his hideous regime. I suspect to many he is a name from a time most of them only know from a brief commentary in history class. Frankly I’ve never seen a history class in highschool that didn’t get stuck on the Civil War in early May and by then it was too late for anything more relevant. They have no idea who Anne Frank was, or why she was such a big deal. They have no sense of the terror back then in Nazi Germany. Yes, Trump is a buffoon, but he’s a damn dangerous one, and he has a LOT of help. Even Trump is too young to really take in what it must have been like with Hitler in power, and he rolls in the history, bypassing the terrors.
What I do not understand is why we allow this. We have basically eviscerated former Presidents who tinkered with the mechanisms, here we have a man taking a hatchet to the White House and the government, and let it happen.
That is the puzzle.
