This quote resonates deep in my being. Whenever I mention that I wrote, I hear from people that they’ve always thought about writing a novel. But they never take that next step. Never try. But if the writing monster has you, you are going to sit and write, even if you have no idea what you’re going to write. Writing sustains you like coffee, water, beer, air, food.

Hi Michael. This author quote I can really understand. I can say as a blogger I am not really an author, but no matter how I feel and no matter what is my mind set I drag myself to the keyboard and mouse to do something, post something, respond somehow. No matter how small or limited. I can not rest until I do. I imagine that feeling, that drive is so much worse for authors like yourself. May my dogs that love gravy help us all until that feeling abates for a time. Hugs
