I don’t know about others, but I’m having WordPress issues today. The long and short: I can’t add tags. They just get swallowed and disappeared. I closed it, rebooted, tried it in other browsers, etc.
A laundry list of things to try to fix the problem was uncovered but I have a busy day planned and would rather complain about it and wait for them to fix it, rather than going through the tedium of throwing everything against the wall to see what fixes it. I did shift to classic editor to see if that fixed it: nope.
It vexes me because I ask, why write, post, and publish if there are no tags? Well, I went ahead and did that with a dream post, “The Festival Dream”, but until adding tags works again, there’s a good chance I won’t post.
It’s worth noting that this issue was also reported in November of 2024 by others. I saw no reports on how anyone fixed it back then.
I have problens with Word Press on a daily basis, but I think they are partially my tablet screwing up not WP. But there are a number of thing that are WP’s fault, and I don’t understand them because while I use computers, I learn by hook and crook, not a very good teacher. ENIAC is older than me, but not by much. Kids today are born to use computers. I was not.
Regardless, one of the very tiny reasons I barely post anymore is all the changes they make to the program. I learn something, and they inevitably change it. Things experts can do are over my capacity to learn now.
So if you find out how to fix problems, please publish them. If I can use them, I will be thankful…
