Tuesday’s Wandering Thoughts

He encountered someone driving out of the in exit. Third day in a row this had happened. Not the same people or car, but…

They had to be given some latitude and space to let them finish driving out, annoying him, because it was his nature to get annoyed by others. He wondered how they’d managed to miss seeing the one way signs and arrows, along with the DO-NOT-ENTER sign. Surely, they hadn’t ‘missed’ them, but had decided to ignore them. Three drivers, three days in a row.

Such a small matter but it was the kind of thing that fed his growing disenchantment with society.

    1. Too true, David. I enjoy the spectacle as my brain divides into debating teams and takes up the pros and cons of these little matters. In this instance, the debated question is, “What does it matter? So those drivers are ___ (insert whatever descriptor works). Doesn’t matter in any real sense, does it?” Then they branch off into questions of order, safety, etc. Winners are rarely declared, and so it goes on. It’s mildly entertaining as well as annoying. Cheers

  1. Hello Michael. Not sure where you are, but when I got to Germany and then to every post in that country, we had to take a class on the driving rules. They are seriously strict. In the US people will give way. Not so in Germany, where I had landed. If the other person has the right of way, they will take it and if there is an accident, you will pay. It was strange how seriously they take the traffic rules for a young teenager US kid. Hugs

    1. Hi Scottie, I reside in a small town in southern Oregon, just over the border from California. Yes, I remember living in Germany and the driver’s test. You’re right about that. Try to take the right of way when it isn’t yours, and they’ll bring the hammer down on you. Guess that’s one of the many reasons I enjoyed living there; we were of like minds about those rules! Ha! Hugs,
