Floofilance (catfinition): The sounds characterizing a cat’s passage through a dark, silent room. People often claim that even if they don’t see the cat, they knew them by their floofilance.

This makes me think of the sound of my cat Ashley’s “little fog feet” late at night, when she suddenly remembers that she wants to play fetch. As I like to warp-quote one of Carl Sandberg’s poems: “The fog comes on little cat feet: whump, whump, whump!“
