While you’re writing your novel, do you ever have conversations with yourself – sometimes, aloud – about the novel and what’s going on, or needs changed?
Yeah, no, me, neither. That would be crazy.

Sometimes Rob has his characters talk to him, telling him something other than what he was planning for them. They obviously take over the narrative of their lives. ~nan

I’m more likely to have such conversations with the characters.

I have those, as well, but now have the other conversation – like an editorial meeting with myself.
