It’s the best kind of day when I start out and have a purpose. The purpose can be born out of anything – writing, walking, hiking, cleaning, organizing, or whatever. But to have that sitting in my mind, “Yes, today is the day I am going to do this,” is powerfully rewarding to me. Because my energy is already aimed toward a target, my mind is engaged, and my will is determined.
Time to write like crazy, at least one more time. Unleash the insanity.
you have to unleash it?
i’ve never been able to get a collar on mine …

Ah, well, there’s a trick to that. First, set the stage. Gain your insanity’s trust. Be its friend. Then…prepare for the moment. Have a leash ready, hidden but at hand. Next, ply the insanity with beer or some other beverage that renders it immobile with drowsiness. Once your insanity passes out, move quickly. Seize the leash and capture it.
But know these things: you have but one chance. If you fail, your insanity will never again trust you. And: if you do leash it, beware. Leashed insanity can drive you mad.

Yes, but you must domesticate it once you leash it. Thereby lies the trick of the tail.
