Floofcate (catfinition) – to sooth or mollify a cat through concessions.
In use: Kevin rose from the chair. The little tabby cat jumped into the vacated space.
“There,” Kevin said. “Are you satisfied?”
The cat began washing her paw.
“I’ll just…stand,” Kevin said, staring at the cat. “I sit too much anyway.”
The things he did to floofcate his pet.
I can’t believe how quickly and ruthlessly modern clothing and accessories shrink. Even my leather belts are shrinking.
Really, what’s the world coming to?
Cats on the floor,
cats on the bed.
Cats running around,
even jumping on my head.
Cats demanding food,
cats demanding love.
Cats wanting attention,
and cats wanting none.
Cats on the Internet,
cats in my dreams.
Cats serving notice,
they are the kings and queens.
You ever step on a floof’s dinglberry that’s a quarter inch in diameter, and the only one in the room, and wonder, what are the chances of that happening in a two-hundred eighty square foot room at four in the morning?
As Sheldon would say, “We could do the math.”
Green-eyed Floofster (catfinition) – Animal who is jealous of other cats and displays this in passive-aggressive behavior.
In use: “Being a green-eyed floofster, Benji the cat would walk over and sit on Martha the dog’s head whenever their people gave the canine attention.”
Catopox (catfinition): An illness people use to call in sick or stay in bed, brought on by an unwillingness to disturb a sleeping animal. Originally associated with cats, the illness has been extended to include any animal.
Floofergeist (Catfinition): A troublesome cat that haunts a particular person.
In Use: “Underfoot at every turn, Jade was Brenda’s floofergeist, giving orders in stringent meows, and tailslapping when she was ignored, until resorting to ankle nibbles for attention.”
