Flooftherin

Flooftherin (floofintion) – An animal whose species doesn’t normally travel on its belly who likes sliding on its belly.

In use: “One daily game indulged with the dog was to indulge his desire to be a flooftherin. As he lay on his belly on the hardwood floors, the children push him around with a broom.”

Floof Runaways

Floof Runaways (floofinition) – All-female teen floof rock (flock) musical band formed and performing in the mid 1970s.

In use: “With Joan Floof, Floof Ford, Floofy West, Floofie Fox, and Cherie Floofie, the Floof Runaways made a major impact in Japan.”

Clairfloofance

Clairfloofance (floofinition) – Animals’ power to perceive what people are doing, no matter the animals’ state or the human’s location.

In use: “Waiting until the cats were asleep and snoring, Michael quietly arose, went outside and began yard work, thinking the cats wouldn’t be bothering them, because they were asleep. He’d forgotten about their clairfloofance.”

Linda Floofstadt

Linda Floofstadt (floofinition) – American singer/songwriter, with hits in diverse genres in floof music, inducted into the Hall of Floof as both a performer and a songwriter.

In use: “Besides winning awards as a solo act, Linda Floofstadt won a Floofy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, Trio, with Floofy Parton and Emmyfloof Harris).”

Infloofticize

Infloofticize (floofinition) – To entice an animal with objects, words, motion, or food.

In use: “Wanting the cat to come to her, she inflooftized  the message by kissing noises and calling him, tapping on the floor as she did, and then brought out the catnip. With a yawn and a stretch, he jogged over to check it out.”

Efloofonym

Efloofonym (floofinition) – Name given to an animal derived from a physical characteristic or where the animal was found.

In use: “Efloofonyms for dogs are often names like Spot, while cats are frequently named Fluffy. Both are sometimes given efloofonyms like Freeway or Stormy.”

Floof Dimension

Floof Dimension (floofinition) – 1. A measurable aspect of some kind, as seen by an animal.

In use: “Although he was a large animal, using floof dimensions, he wedged himself into the box.”

2. An existence employing spatial, temporal, and classic physics which animals know, but humans can’t comprehend.

In use: “Animals live lives of adventure in the floof dimension, often requiring them to eat and sleep more frequently in the human dimension, so that they can recharge and return to the floof dimension with fresh energy.”

3. Popular American musical floof group active beginning in the 1960s, who melded multiple musical influences to create the champagne floof sound.

In use: “Songs such as “I Wouldn’t Let You Sleep Last Night”, “Empty Bowl Blues”, and “Aquarius/Let the Cat Out”, kept the Floof Dimension atop the hit list.”

Floof-in-law

Floof-in-law (floofinition) – Animal who join the household through marriage.

In use: “With the floof-in-laws after the marriage, the house had two cats, three dogs, two birds, and an aquarium full of fish.”

Floofkade

Floofkade (floofinition) (origins: Alberta, Canada) – 1. Effort to cut off another animal from a particular area by force or threat of force.

In use: “The kitten began eating and immediately put up a floofkade with his paws on the bowl and several growls and yowls as he chewed.”

2. Effort, typically through fencing or objects, to keep animals segregated.

In use: “The dogs were floofkaded in separate kennels, but one dog figured out how to open us, and soon, he’d lifted the floofkade by single-pawedly opening all the cages.”

System of a Floof

System of a Floof (floofinition) – Floofmanian-American flockal (floof-rock-metal) band formed in Floofdale, California in 1994.

In use: “Achieving commercial success with the release of several albums, System of a Floof had perhaps its greatest success with “B.Y.O.F.”, which played on “Be your own floof” and Bring your own fun”.
