Stray Floofs (floofinition) – An American floofabilly rock band formed in 1979 in Floof York.
In use: “With multiple hits such as “Stray Floof Strut” and “Floof this Town”, the Stray Floofs proved they weren’t one-hit wonders, but had staying power.”
Floofpire (floofinition) – Animal who seems to suck the energy out of others.
In use: “The lab puppy was so energetic, racing around without pause, gobbling down food (and often stealing it), exhausting them all (including the cat and other dogs), they sought remedies for the floofpire, which amounted to a regimen of training, walking, and playing.”
Laissez-floof (catfinition) – a feline practice of deliberately not interfering with or bothering other animals.
In use: “The second reason Quinn is such a good member of a multiple cat household is his laissez-floof attitude toward other cats.”
Mewguistics (catfinition) – the study of cats’ meowing to understand what their meows mean.
In use: “Listening to Quinn’s running conversation and noting the many inflections the cat employed in his mews, Michael attempted to employ his mewguistics techniques of associating sound and behavior to understand what Quinn was saying, but the cat’s utterances were beyond his skill level.”
Floofbish (catfinition) – a meek or timid cat.
In use: “She’d seem like a floofbish tabby in the shelter, but once she was home and out of the kennel, she became as imperial as a queen and as powerful as a supercat.”
