Door Scratch Fever

Unique

You ever type or write a word, and then look at it and look at it because it seems like it’s wrong? But then you check, and, yup, that is the correct word and spelling?

I hope you do. I don’t want to believe I’m the only one that does this. I don’t want to be that unique.

Floofogenic

Floofogenic (catfinition) – produced or created by cats; a cat that’s suitable for photographing because of their visual appeal.

In use: “The floofogenic odors were strong testimony that more than one feline resided here.”

Floofair

Floofair (catfinition) – Internet slang for a cat fart.

In use: “As the big cat settled onto Michael’s lap, a floofair’s hydrogen sulfide presence snaked up his nostrils.”

Flooftapose

Flooftapose (cafinition) – cats sitting or laying in close order or proximity to one another.

In use: “Flooftaposed side by side by side, the cats sat on the sofa, watching out the windows at things I could not see.”

Floofcoholic

Floofcoholic (catfinition) – excessive or compulsive love of cats and anything feline.

In use: “He was a floofcoholic, visiting with cats that he met on the streets, sleeping with cats, and asserting their welfare over that of his family and self.”

Up

Rise up, I hear.

Can you rise down?

It is possible to sit up but if you’re standing, does sit down need to be specified?

(But if you omit down, and say, “Sit,” will people become offended that it sounds like you’re ordering a dog?)

And why do we give up?
