Why Do Republicans Hate the United States?

Why Do Republicans Hate the United States? You know they must.

Actions always speak louder than words. Republican Sen. Tuberville, who states, “there is no one more military than me,” is blocking confirmation of new members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to replace the two who have retired. He’s also blocked 301 other promotions and confirmations for important military positions. Perhaps if Tuberville had ever served in the military, he’d understand the chaos and crises this is creating. As he fosters a leadership vacuum in the United States, think of how other nations might take advantage of Tuberville’s intransigence.

Besides Tuberville, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is blocking confirmation of 60 plus State Department officials the same way that Tuberville is blocking the confirmation of military officials. So, they are deliberating undermining the security of the United States in pursuit of their personal political agendas. His agenda: to ‘learn the true origins of COVID-19’. Sure, that’s what he claims, even as information has been provided to him time and again. This is simple pettishness masquerading as concern, doing his best to cripple the country because it’s led by a Democratic POTUS who was lawfully elected to lead the nation.

Whether it’s the debt ceiling, blocking the appointment of judges, military readiness, or stopping the State Department, Republicans continually demonstrate that politics is more important than country. They’re masters of obstruction politics. Last election, they offered no platform, and when in leadership positions, they work hard to savage the US Constitution and Bill of Rights.

So fucking shameful. But that’s what we get from the party who supports a former president who tried to undermine lawful election results so he could stay in office. Even worse is that so many otherwise intelligent and hard-working citizens seem to support these goals of undermining the nation and its founding principles. How else can you explain that these two and others of their ilk are re-elected time, and time again?

    1. Imagine living in this situation! It is bizarre. Of course, truthfully, I’m sure that these senator’s supporters only receive part of the news by only listening/watching/reading sources that denigrate what Democrats do while emphasizing the ‘great things’ their Republican leaders are doing. Sad, sad, sad. Such closed, barren minds. Cheers

  1. Well said, Michael! Tuberville and Rand are both traitors to the Constitution, are in violation of the Oath they took, and have zero interest in the best interests of the nation or We the People. I believe that Senate leadership could remove them from their committees and replace them with someone with a conscience, but for whatever reason, they have not done so.

      1. Michael, I admit I am not sure what you mean when you say “food and friends deliveries”? Is this a volunteer program delivering food to disabled, older people, or other people in need? If so, you and your wife really should get and deserve credit along with appreciation from all of us. Things like helping others have food is one of the most humane things one can do for others. I have read of animal groups, such as wolves and elephants, where the younger wolves and elephants would assist and leave / bring food for older group members who were struggling. If they can do it, we should be able also Hugs

      2. Food & Friends, to give it its local polish, is a county program to do just as you describe. The area is divided into routes. Volunteers run things under the auspices of a paid director. Anyone can sign up if they’re in need and have an address. For those without addresses, the city and local agencies provide evening meals five days a week. It’s a small thing we do. The other is donating to the local food bank, where people can go in and acquire food and toiletries. It’s a tough life out there for tomorrow, and we must help. Hugs ‘n cheers, M

  2. I think that the Republicans only adore themselves, work for themselves (being completely corrupted) and speak mostly only for the very rich people. That’s the very nature of populism everywhere in the world, just fucking liars with a faked view on realities.

    1. I am so with you on this. I see more evidence of your conclusions daily and see little to convince me of otherwise. Sick of their attitude, sick of their lying, and disgusted with their efforts to deny or rewrite history. Intolerable. Thanks for reading and commenting. Cheers

  3. Here in Germany these people call themselves “Alternative for Germany”, just completely ridiculous; in Poland PIS(S) Party, 2nd S is mine; in France Front Nationale; in Italy Fratelli d’Italia ,,, a.s.o. Stupidity is an international phenomena which unfortunately is extremely growing nowadays – a very disturbing problem and zeitgeist.

    1. Yes, I’ve been reading articles about the growth of like right-wing, white supremacy parties who seem intent on destroying the world and all democracies in the name of asserting their backward ‘principles’. An ugly movement, a horrible zeitgeist.
