I probably posted this one before. Since it came out in 1988, it’s become one of my go-to songs for lifting my spirits and reinforcing my determination. But crank it up, sing along with Steve Winwood, snap your fingers, clap your hands, scare the cats and do a little dancing. You know, just roll with it, baby.

Well, Stevie was known since his teens for his R&B voice, something that probably came naturally in part, but something he surely cultured. Probably had a huge Motown record collection. That’s a way cool song, btw.

Dancing doesn’t scare my cats. Ashley even LIKES it, and she dances with me. Well, we move to music, anyway. I can’t dance, and Ashley is too nice a cat to embarrass her biped companion by dancing better than I do.
There are other Steve Winwood songs that she likes. I should find out if she also likes “Roll With It.”

Your Ashley sounds like a kind and dignified cat. My cats are wary of the dancing, displaying a calculating and watchful, what-is-he-up-to? posture, from a respective, safe distance. Could it be my dancing? Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
