Floofanomics (floofinition) – the costs and budgeting process associated with feeding and caring for housepets. The four pillars associated with floofanomics are, keep your pets happy, get your pets healthy, keep your pets healthy, and keep your pets happy.

In use: “With floofanomics, decisions sometimes become difficult with cats. While dogs seem willing to eat any- and everything, cats sometimes shun what they just scarfed down a minute before. It’s a mystery.”

Floofstop (Revised)

Floofstop (floofinition) – 1. An animal that leans against something, preventing it from opening or closing; a cat in the middle of something, like an unmade bed, or a floor, keeping activities from being completed.

In use: “The door couldn’t be opened nor closed because Tucker decided he’d be a floofstop, and his languid, confident demeanor made it clear that he didn’t plan to change vocations any time soon.”

2. A change of activity to quickly address an animal’s needs.

In use: “Getting out of bed, he opened two cans and fed the dog and cats, returning to bed in less than fifty-two seconds, which he considered a very good floofstop.”

3. A regular place where animals sit, especially as a pet in a home.

In use: “The cats’ regular floofstop was the corner by the frig, where they could observe several directions at once and listen as the humans scurried around, preparing a meal.”

Green-eyed Floofster

Green-eyed Floofster (catfinition) – Animal who is jealous of other cats and displays this in passive-aggressive behavior.

In use: “Being a green-eyed floofster, Benji the cat would walk over and sit on Martha the dog’s head whenever their people gave the canine attention.”

Looky-floof

Looky-floof (floofinition): a housepet who likes to follow people and spy on them.

In Use: “Papi is a classic looky-floof, following us around the house, close at hand to observe whatever we’re doing – washing, dressing, eating, reading, it doesn’t matter.”
