Nofloofphobia

Nofloofphobia (floofinition) – When someone suffers fear or anxiety about not having the company of an animal.

In use: “The worse part of vacations was not being with his fur pals. Nofloofphobia inevitably struck as he worried about them being okay and missed their sweet interactions with him and one another.”

Thursday’s Wandering Thought

The floof spoke.

The man regarded the animal. “You want to go back out? You sure?”

The floof replied.

The man stood and followed the animal. “Alright, if that’s what you want.”

The animal veered to the kitchen and headed for the sink.

“Oh, you want water.” He filled the animal’s glass.

Water. Outside. The two words sound so similar in flooflish. It’s easy to mix them up.

Braggafloofcious

Braggafloofcious (floofinition) – Being boastful about a floof.

In use: “Michael was very braggafloofcious, always telling floof tales about the orange boiz and their many presents, and how high they could jump.”

Upfloofing

Upfloofing (floofinition) 1. Increasing the number of animals in a household.

In use: “She’d gone to the shelter to bring home a kitten to keep her dog company after his feline friend passed away, and ended up upfloofing with a bonded set of two kittens and puppy. All seemed joyous to be in one another’s company when they were introduced.”

2. Making changes to a building or furniture to accommodate animal(s).

In use: “Upfloofing the house was done by adding a flooftio on the back where the household pets could safely relax in their own little enclosed area and still enjoy being outside.”

Floofhewn

Floofhewn (floofinition) – Something that is in a rough or poor shape because of animal or animals’ activities.

In use: “The floofhewn white sofa had shredded arms and damaged pillows. It was unclear whether it was the dog or the cat, gazing at him with innocence personified, who was the floofpetrator. He suspected teamwork.”

Picklefloof

Picklefloof (floofinition) – 1. An animal who keeps getting itself into a difficult or problematic situation.

In use: “Sara learned within days that her new cat, Neo, was a picklefloof, jumping into places where she couldn’t extricate herself, and then yelling for help.”

2. Animal(s) which enjoy interfering with ball games or activities involving throwing or hitting objects.

In use: “Ping pong and throwing a frisbee around were two activities which required Max to be locked up before play commenced, as the picklefloof would intercept the ball or frisbee at his first chance, and then the chase was on.”

Firefloof

Firefloof (floofinition) – 1. Animal who enjoys fires.

In use: “Jade was such a firefloof that she needed to be monitored around the fireplace to ensure that she didn’t just go ahead and climb in it.”

2. An animal whose color or patterns bring to mind fire or flames.

In use: “Sly was a true firefloof, with an unusual color that made many think the small Finish Spitz was a fox at first glance.”

3. A class of ships used to secretly transport animals.

In use: “The firefloof class ship, Serenity, was often used to find and remove animals from abusive situations. Cloaked and commanded by Captain Floofy ‘Floof’ Reynolds, the ship was never seen, but stayed in constant motion on its mission to help other animals.”

Exflooftion

Exflooftion (floofinition) 1. State of deep sleep enjoyed by animals.

In use: After eating and grooming, the floofs found comfortable places for exflooftion, staying there for hours with barely any movement.

2. Exhausted state caused by animal behavior or worry about animal(s).

In use: “Noticing his dog didn’t eat with the same gusto, he began watching his fur buddy’s behavior for signs of illness, staying up late and awakening often, bringing exflooftion on him.”
