Veercat

Veercat (not to be confused with meercat) (Catfinition): Many confuse veercat with the mythological werecat. They are not the same.

veercat is a feline that follows a serpentine course before sprinting to greet you; a werecat is a feline therianthropic creature (h/t to wikipedia.org).

In Use: “True to his veercat nature, Papi juked left when he pranced into the house, swept his slender orange body against a table leg, and wove right to bunt against a chair before executing a one hundred thirty degree turn to entwine himself around my legs.”

Underfloof

Underfloof (Catfinition): A cat that’s always around and is in danger of being trod upon.

Raison d’floof

Raison d’floof (Catfinition): The cat or cats who provide you with reasons to get up in the morning. It’s usually to be fed, or you hear them hacking up a furball, or they’re not beside you, where they usually are, or they’re making noises in the other room, so you have to get up, and go see what’s going on. Whatever the reason, this raison d’floof helps you get up and get things done.

Quokittien

Quokittien (Catfinition): A young feline who appears ordinary and commonplace.

In Use: “The tabby’s quokittien appearance, black stripes on gray, as seen on millions of cats in America, was offset by her intelligence, and rambunctious behavior.”

Purrjesty

Purrjesty (Catfinition): a feline thrumming sound of great and impressively beautiful quality.

In Use: “Dark-tipped tail erect, his purrjesty filling the room, the ginger cat pranced over the floor, leaned against his body against the man’s legs, and looked up at him.”

Omcatient

Omcatient (Catfinition): A person who seems to know what cats are thinking.

In Use: “Omcatient, she always addresses the cat’s needs, whether it’s food, a pet, or going outside, just by a glance.”

Nullcat

Nullcat (Catfinition): A feline that doesn’t matter, that no one wants, and everyone ignores.

In Use: There shouldn’t be a nullcat. There shouldn’t be any null creatures. We all matter.

Monocat

Monocat (Catfinition) A home or family with just one cat.

In Use: “Jan’s house was an averred monocat, as the fluffball who resided there had little tolerance for other four-legged creatures.”
