Incataneous

Incataneous (catfinition) – a feline’s amazing ability to suddenly appear.

In use: “He’d been calling and looking for the cat for over four hours, when, incataneously, the cat rubbed against his calf.”

Enfloofed

Enfloofed (catfinition) – wrapped up by a cat, often by having them entwine their tails and legs around a person’s body while standing, or by curling up on top of a supine person.

In use:Grumewing, Quinn enfloofed Michael, stopping him from moving for fear of tripping, because his hands were full.”

Catability

Catability (catfinition) – the capacity to imitate a feline’s sound, behavior, or expressions.

In use: “Michael’s catability includes meowing that perplex the cats, who start searching for the other cat making these noises.”

Cosfloofology

Cosfloofology (catinition) – a branch of metaphysics that deal with the study of the origin and evolution of the cat universe.

In use: “Adherents of the first cosfloofology theory believe cats are the center of the universe, around which everything else revolves. Thus, in their worldview, keeping cats happy is the first priority.”

Grumewing

Grumewing (catfinition) – a non-stop series of half-hearted mews that sounds like a cat is grumbling under their breath.

In use: “Quinn trotted down the hall, grumewing about his late supper as he went, looking back to see if he needed to flerd his person to the feeding area.”

Scheckter

Scheckter (catfinition) – a sudden movement to escape when someone sneezes, made famous by an orange cat named Scheckter (pictured).

In use: “When Michael sneezed, Tucker schecktered off him and left the room.”

Floofgathering

Floofgathering (catfinition) – indulgence in petting and visiting with cats.

In use: “Brenda’s floofgathering with Crystal and Jade was interrupted by a knock on the door.”

Floofrify

Floofrify (catfintion) – a cat making small cuts or scratches in something, such as skin; small lacerations a cat causes.

In use: “The little ginger floofrified the man’s hand with her eager play, rendering his skin punctured and bleeding.”
