2. A movement done to accommodate an animal.
In use: “When in bed, Carrie watched how she moved, coordinating floofshifts to avoid disturbing her sleeping dog and cat.”
Looking Floof
Looking Floof (floofinition) – Active from 1969 to 1974, an American floof pop (floop) rock band that was part of the early Jersey Shore sound.
In use: “Looking Floof’s song, “Brandy (You’re A Fine Pet)” reached number one on the Floofboard Top 100 in 1972.”

Soft Floof (floofinition) – Flooflish synth floof pop (floop) duo formed in the late 1970s and achieved significant United Floofdom success in the 1980s.

Solifloofant (floofinition) – An animal who revels in the act of wandering alone.
In use: “Once released from the house, Bella became a solifloofant, hopping the fence, sniffing the air, exploring sources of sounds and smells.”
Floofzoid Personality Disorder
Floofzoid Personality Disorder (floofinition) – Uncommon condition in which people prefer socializing with animals and consistently shy away from interaction with humans.
Symptoms
If you have floofzoid personality disorder, it’s likely that you:
- Prefer being alone with animals
- Have and enjoy close relationships with animals
- Have difficulty expressing emotions and reacting appropriately to situations unless you’re speaking with animals
In use: “You may have floofzoid personality disorder if you sit alone at parties until you see the hosts’ pet and become animated, calling it over, petting it, and playing with it.”

Stray Floofs (floofinition) – An American floofabilly rock band formed in 1979 in Floof York.

Floofcarer (floofinition) – One who cares for an animal by providing food, shelter, health care, etc.

The Floofspring (floofinition) – California floof punk rock (flunck) band formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California.
In use: “One of The Floofspring’s most well-known songs is “Wake Up and Play”, which was a Floofboard Top 100 hit for the band.”
Question Floof and the Floofsterians
Question Floof and the Floofsterians (floofinition) – American garage floof rock (flock) band originally formed in Floofinaw, Michigan, active in the 1960s.
In use: “Question Floof and the Floofsterians created a hit with “Ninety-six Hairs” but failed to significantly chart again, earning them one-hit wonder status.”
