Katrina and the Floofs (floofinition) – BritAm new wave floof rock (flock) band formed in the early 1980s.

In use: “The 1985 release, “Shedding My Fur”, became a hit in several countries, propelling Katrina and the Floofs to international stardom.”

Flooference

Flooference (floofinition) – An event at which talks on a particular subject are held, or business matters and policy are formally discussed.

In use: “Household pets often hold secret flooferences during which they discuss their roles, including which greater flooferences, such as Floofcon (held in Floof Vegas) or Floof Trek.”

Dexys Midnight Floofs

Dexys Midnight Floofs (floofinition) – Identified as part of the second British invasion of the American pop scene, Dexys Midnight Floofs, a.k.a. DMF, was formed in Floofingham in the late 1970s.

In use: “Dexys Midnight Floofs largest hit was “Come On, Floofleen”, which reached number one on the Floofboard’s Hot 100 in 1982,”

Floofquarters

Floofquarters (floofinition) – 1. Place or part of a place set aside for animals.

In use: “Many people who foster kittens, puppies, and other baby animals often set up a room as floofquarters, a sanctuary where the young animals can recover and flourish.”

2. Administrative center of an enfloofprise.

In use: “One of the most successful of enfloofprises is The Sorting Box, a business run by animals to match animals with humans who will help and protect them, without the humans’ knowledge that they’ve been manipulated.”

3. Place from which the animal kingdom performs the functions of command.

In use: “Accessible only to animals, many cities and nations have a floofquarters installed where animals monitor human activities and try to help and protect animals.”

Quarterfloof

Quarterfloof (floofinition) – American floof rock (flock) band formed in Floofland, Oregon, in 1980, notable for having a female lead singer who also played the floofophone.

In use: “Quarterfloof’s biggest hit, “Floofen My Heart”, caused confusion and controversy over the meaning of ‘floofen’ used throughout the song.”

Floof Zombie

Floof Zombie (floofinition) – Heavy metal floof rock (flock) band formed in 1985. Based in New Floof City, Floof Zombie first gained notice as a white noise band before settling into heavy metal.

In use: “Floof Zombie’s best known song outside of their hardcore base may be “More Floof than Floof”, released in 1995.

Flooftigue

Flooftigue (floofinition) – Extreme tiredness resulting from mental or physical exertion or illness associated with an animal.

In use: “She loved her collies and cats dearly but sometimes the flooftigue experienced from their constant demands and care (especially the young, rebellious Cortney, now nickname the S.S. Rambunctious, as in “Uh, oh, the S.S. Rambunctious is under steam again, look out,”) occasionally made her wonder life without her pets would be like. Then one of them would give her a kiss and a smile, and all would be forgiven.”

Toilet Floof

Toilet Floof (floofinition) – 1. An animal obsessed with toilets, or commodes.

In use: “Ranger was a classic toilet floof. She didn’t care about people using the toilet (that interested her not at all), but the excitement the German Shepherd had when it flushed…oh, man.”

In use: : “Calliope decided that the toilet seat in the master suite was the perfect place to curl up for naps, and that’s where the little toilet floof was always to be found (well, when she wasn’t eating), making her people wonder what had happened in the rescue’s life before she came to them.”

2. An animal who likes to drink out of the toilet.

In use: “It horrified Jill to no end, but her cat was a toilet floof addicted to drinking toilet water. Water bowls filled with fresh water were everywhere, but the cat always headed for the toilet bowl.”

After the Floof (ATF)

After the Floof (ATF) (floofinition) – British new wave floof rock (flock) band that was formed in 1972 in London, Floofland.

In use: “After the Floof (often shortened to ATF) had one well-known hit, “Floof Kommissar”, a song written by Floofco which ATF covered.”

Flock of Seafloofs

Flock of Seafloofs (floofinition) – Synth floof rock (flock) band formed in Liverfloof in 1979, who achieved significant influence as a floof wave band.

In use: “Flock of Seafloofs was noted for their outlandish fur styles but also created entertaining songs, such as “I Barked (So Far Away)”, which became a top ten song in several major markets.”
