WordPress Blues

I’ve read others’ comments about comments getting rejected by WordPress. Last week, it struck me. I’d type up a comment, click comment, and WP replied, “This comment couldn’t be posted” or words to that effect.

It doesn’t happen with everyone’s blogs. It’s irritatingly random. First time, the poster had written about bowel movements and their poo. I commented and added a facet about menstrual cycles. When my comments were rejected, I wondered if it was about the subject or my word choices. But since then, I’ve had comments rejected about car repairs, animals, food, news, and politics.

Just one of those mysterious afflictions which sometimes strike modern technology, I suppose.

  1. Hi Michael. I often have open tabs for weeks or more. Right now I have over 70 tabs of windows holding comments going back at least a month that I plan to get to as soon as I feel better. But when I hit a tab that won’t let me like or comment I simply refresh the page and most times that fixes what ever problem there is. Next time you encounter that issue, try refreshing the page and let me know who it goes. Hugs

      1. Any time friend. Another thing that happens is I will like a comment from the bell notification and then it won’t appear as liked on the post it comes from. When that happens I have to restart the computer, resign into WordPress and sometimes shift my VPN to a different place. Best wishes. Wish I understood WordPress better to help but the way their system / sites / pages work is an ever changing void of frustration.
Seems they fix what is working well to make it work worse. Hugs

  2. Michael, I have tried to post several comments on your and others’ wordpress accounts (including responses on my own to comments posted) in the past week or so to no avail. I click on Comment and it won’t allow me. I thought it was just me, but apparently not. WordPress blues, indeed!     ~Nan.
