Children to wear bullet proof backpacks. I can recall an SF short story from back in the early 1960s (but not the title) which dealt with such a theme of violence built into the system.
Now we stare down the abyss of the extreme wing of the Republicans’ reactive, hysterical, twisted world view and see it is becoming a Reality.
