Twozdaz Wandering Political Thoughts

First, the ‘good news’.

The number of measles cases in the U.S. are on the rise.

No, that is not ‘good news’.

It is vindication.

The data clearly shows that the measles vaccinations policies followed in the U.S. for the last several decades were working. The science was understood.

Now, led by a charlatan in Health and Human Services, one Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and emboldened by the Trump Regime, the U.S. has had over 1900 cases reported in 2025. With winter striking and people keeping closer proximity, measles outbreaks in several states are growing. It’s doubtful to me that the TACO Regime will take action to address these outbreaks. The outbreaks are part of the Project 2025 strategy to undermine health and morale in the United States. While it’s not explicitly stated as such, that is the intention which emerges.

Trumpsanity continues plowing over the nation.

Trump is suing the Pulitzer Prize Board. It’s been going on for a few years.

In late 2022, Donald Trump filed a defamation lawsuit against the Pulitzer Prize Board, which, he claimed, defamed him by refusing to retract prizes it gave the New York Times and the Washington Post for their Russiagate reporting.

Trump, in the lawsuit, alleged that the Times and the Post defamed him in their articles and that the Pulitzer Prize Board, by awarding them, defamed him as well. Many Trump critics attacked the lawsuit as frivolous, pointing out that the Pulitzer Prize Board itself didn’t write the articles he claimed were defamatory.

~snip~

Recent articles reveal that the Pultizer folks reacted by demanding records from Trump to prove what he’s claiming.

As of Thursday, the case had reached the discovery phase, with the Pulitzer board submitting a 12-page filing with a “litany of broad discovery demands” for Trump’s legal team. In addition to demanding more typical documents pertaining to Trump’s various lawsuits and claims about the political impact of the Pulitzer Prizes, the board also requested a wide range of documents detailing much more personal and intimate details.

This includes “all” of the president’s tax returns dating from 2015 to now, so as to show any potential financial harm caused by the Pulitzer board’s actions. It also requested health records and prescription histories to demonstrate proof of Trump’s claims of mental and physical anguish.

“To the extent You seek damages for any physical ailment or mental or emotional injury arising from Counts I-IV of Your Complaint, all Documents (whether held by You or by third parties under Your control or who could produce them at your direction) concerning Your medical and/or psychological health from January 1, 2015, to present, including any prescription medications you have been prescribed or have taken,” the filing explained. “For the avoidance of doubt, this includes all Documents Concerning Your annual physical examination. To the extent you do not seek such damages in this action, please confirm so in writing.”

~snip~

One, I’m very pleased that the Pulitzer Prize Board is pushing back and not capitulating, the path which so many universities and media organizations followed. Two, I love that response: this is what you’re claiming, so show us the receipts.

Of interest now is how the TACO Regime will react. I expect bluster, of course. Claims of executive privilege will probably spring up as well. TACO never likes revealing paperwork because the paperwork inevitably reveals the depths of his deceit and lies.

Trump showed again he’s an empty shell of a human.

President Donald Trump responded to the mass shooting over the weekend at Brown University, telling a crowd gathered at the White House that “things can happen” while offering “deepest regards” to the families of students who died and urging a speedy recovery for the injured.

~snip~

I couldn’t find any statements that Trump made about the disastrous flooding in Washington. Sure, the Trump Regime signed off on assistance but he, personally, said nothing about the disaster. No, he’s too busy slamming Rob Reiner after the actor and his wife were murdered by their son.

Trump, in a post on his social media network, said Reiner and his wife were killed “reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”

He said Reiner “was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness.”

~snip~

That’s Trump. Always going lower. Always taking the lowest, tasteless, classless road possible.

Compounding the Trump Regime’s struggle with truth and success, unemployment is rising.

Statistics and history show that U.S. unemployment climbed to 4.6 % in November 2025. That’s the highest rate since September 2021. It’s also change-your-diaper time for Deflecting Donny, once again.

Employers across the U.S. added 64,000 jobs in November, beating economists’ forecasts, new government data shows, even as new October figures revealed a loss of 105,000 jobs, a sign the labor market remains under pressure.

The unemployment rate in November rose to 4.6%, the highest level since September 2021.

~snip~

Trump will blame President Biden for the rising unemployment. That’s a given, even though it’s been Trump’s economy since the 2025’s first month. Trump might even blame President Obama for this poor unemployment, because that’s how loosely connected to reality Dopy Donny is these days. The wires between his brain and reality are frayed and broken, and it is showing in his speeches and reactions. He’s quicker to jump to hostility and bullying than in previous years. Those attacks are often not landing as they have in previous years.

Sadly for Trump, at the same time that reports claim the nation added more jobs in November, ‘beating economists forecasts’, October figures were revised, showing it was worse than originally claimed. The job numbers were also revised downward for August and September.

Man, talk about a bad trend. Tsk, tsk.

Wonder if Vegas is putting up odds that the November jobs numbers will be revised downward in January?

Thirstdaz Theme Music

It looks like we might have some fog today in Foglandia. It’s Thirstda, December 11, 2025. The fog landed on us yesterday morning and has not abated. My friend came out of meeting last night and said, “Wow, this is Jack the Ripper kind of fog.” Our forecast for today, given yesterday morning, promised sunshine and a possible record high in the low to mid-sixties. That was yesterday. Now we’re mumbling about maybe hitting 50 F. It’s 37 F now. The claims made yesterday for today have been shifted to tomorrow. Feels like a con game. Wonder how much of Trump DOGE cuts cause the diminishing weather forecast accuracy?

Another night of intriguing dreams featuring cars, women, and building had me wondering about stuff this morning. Traversing the assimilating and understanding functions of parsing the dreams inspired Les Neurons. “Clocks” by Coldplay floated into the morning mental music stream. The song’s lyrics go, “Confusion never stops. Closing walls and ticking clocks. Gonna come back and take you home. I could not stop that you now know, singing.” Which pretty well reflected part of one remembered dream sequence. Actually, minus the clocks. It was but the sentiment of confusion.

Speaking of the sentiment of confusion, have you heard Deceiving Donny’s recent speeches? Yes, he’s a rambling vocal trainwreck. Naturally, MAGA reactions are, “But Biden.” Always looking to the past, they are, always hunting for an escape route to avoid facing reality. Read a piece which tickled me from MPS, Case Study: In Your Guts, You Know He’s Nuts.

Yes, we know he’s nuts. So does AI as it reviews some sample shitalk outta the great mango babbler. Trump’s probably the greatest babbler the world has ever known. He can babble like no babbler has ever babbled before. People listening to him often remark, “What an amazing babbler. What a stunning babbler.” After listening to Dizzy Donny’s babbling, people often march up, shake his hand, and say, “Sir, that was the most beautiful babbling I’ve heard the pleasure of hearing.” One man said he told Trumpy Dumpty, “In my two hundred fifty years of life, I’ve never heard greater babble coming out of anybody like this before, let alone the President of the United States. What babble! Amazing babble! BEAUTIFUL BABBLE!!!”

I was with friends having a beer and talking last night. One related the death of his brothers. One older, one younger. Both being treated. One was denied Oregon’s “Death with dignity” to pursue assisted suicide because he was being treated and following a course of stuff supposed to fight the disease, etc. But the side effect of said treatment were blood clots which caused strokes, diminishing his capacity to speak, move, breathe, etc. Sickening and exasperating.

On that note, time to rev up the life engine and plunge into my daily routines. Which mostly circulates around going out and writing. Writing is going well but consumes so much life band. My wife is tremendously accommodating of my efforts. She deserves several prizes. Hope I can reward her faith and support with success someday. Meanwhile, onward. Cheers

Satyrdaz Wandering Political Thoughts

The Sundowner-in-Chief is trying to assign blame for things going wrong to President Biden.

It’s all a distraction, of course, a classic page from the ‘It’s Everyone Else’s Fault!’ Donald Trump playbook. In this instance, Dizzy Donny thinks he can arbitrarily decide that President Biden’s autopen use was illegal. Therefore, everything signed by President Biden is null and void. Yep, Dozy Donny sez he’s cancelling it all.

Trump Says He’s Canceling Every Biden Executive Order Signed With Autopen

After bragging that this year’s Thanksgiving meals were marginally cheaper than the year before, President Donald Trump is continuing to spread holiday cheer. On Friday, the president vowed to cancel all executive orders signed by President Joe Biden using an autopen.

On Truth Social, Trump claimed that “Sleepy Joe Biden” signed 92 percent of documents with the machine, which is used to automate signatures. “The Autopen is not allowed to be used if approval is not specifically given by the President of the United States,” he wrote. “The Radical Left Lunatics circling Biden around the beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office took the Presidency away from him. I am hereby cancelling all Executive Orders, and anything else that was not directly signed by Crooked Joe Biden, because the people who operated the Autopen did so illegally. Joe Biden was not involved in the Autopen process and, if he says he was, he will be brought up on charges of perjury. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

~snip~

Does this make sense? No. Totally illogical, par for Trump’s thinking. Is it legal? Absolutely not. Is it dumber than a bucket of golf balls? Yep, and that makes it sooo Trumpdiculous. Is it outrageously hypocritical, given how many times Sundowning Donny has used the autopen? Well, of course! This is Trump. With his popularity falling fast, he’s desperately lunging out at shadow monsters. The odds that the United States will attack another nation are probably going up, desperate as he’s getting. There’s been so much losing for Donny T, and there’s a lot more losing looming on the horizon.

Another unsurprising headline arose today.

Trump Again Funneling Money From Political Committees He Runs Into His Own Pocket

Well, my jaw just fell open when I read that. Not.

Thieving Donny is funneling money. Again. Of course. His greed is only surpassed by his lying and cheating. Here it is, a three-fer-one. He’s funneled money for charities to himself to the past, so why would anyone expect anything else? He’s never been punished for all of his stealing and cheating and lying. People, the press, and governments all give him a pass, again and again. And this is their reward: he’s cheating them, he’s cheating the nation, and he’s cheating We the People. He’ll continue to until the breathing air is gone and the sun is just a bright star in the nighttime.

The House of Trump does seem to be wobbling more each day. Fer ‘xample, Melania’s ‘meme’ coin has lost some value. From the WSJ via Raw Story:

Melania ‘meme coin’ value bottoms out as Trump brands collapse: WSJ

Supporters of Donald Trump, who believed everything he touches turns to gold, are finding out the hard way that investing in the president has turned into a bad bet.

According to a Saturday report from the Wall Street Journal, since Trump was inaugurated in January, shares in the parent company behind the president’s Truth Social platform have spiraled downward 75 percent and the numbers for Trump-branded “meme coins” have suffered a worse fate as of late.

Amazon is in bed with the Trumps again.

Melania Trump launches production company ahead of documentary

Producing and starring in a buzzy documentary about her prominent yet under-the-radar life was just the beginning for Melania Trump, who has now launched her own production company.

The first lady announced the launch of “Muse Films” on social media with a brief video unveiling its official logo.

The company will make its debut with the upcoming film titled “Melania,” which is slated to release in theaters nationwide Jan. 30 and later on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.

The documentary showcases the 20 days before the former model returned to the White House following President Donald Trump‘s inauguration on Jan. 20.

~snip~

So, from that and other articles, I’d say it’s not about Melania’s life, just a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny slice. She’s not going to reprise her nude modeling career in this film. I don’t think Jeffrey Epstein will be mentioned, even though he may have been the vehicle through which the doggishly-loyal Trump met his third wife.

Overboard and over the top. That’s Duplicitous Donny. An Afghan refugee was involved in a shooting in D.C. You probably read, heard, saw that news. The individual shot two West Virginia National Guard units in D.C. when they were shot by the Aghani.

Naturally, Trump responded with a thoughtful, nuance take – NOT! Instead, he vowed to permanently pause immigration from a number of nations and whipped out his autopen to make it so.

Trump Promises to Pause Migration From ‘Third World Countries’ After D.C. Shooting

Because, yeah, that’s the root of the problem, right? Almost 48,000 gun murders were reported in the U.S. in 2023. How many of those does Trump think were done by immigrants? Oh, sorry, I wrote ‘Trump’ and ‘think’, which do not conjugate anywhere except Dopy Donny’s alter world. Trump doesn’t think. He makes crazy, baseless decrees which he believes demonstrates that he is strong, intelligent, and on top of everything. Instead, his solutions are often problematic, rife with flawed logic and fallacy, and often are dangerous and malicious.

People are catching up with Trump’s scam. The economy is tanking and so are his polls. Many are breaking with Dizzy Donny over what Trump called Gov. Waltz during Dozy Don’s unhinged Thanksgiving Day rant. Others are breaking with him over the Ukraine ‘Peace Plan’, which is a Russia giveaway.

The man is going nowhere but down, and all the money and gold in the world isn’t going to change that.

I hope.

Munda’s Wandering Political Thought

Suddenly, the Qatar jet offer to Trump was started under President Biden.

Says Insurrection Barbie, “So let me get this straight the plane that was a gift from Qatar was actually a conversation that was started a year ago by the Biden administration with the Qataris? You literally can’t make this stuff up.”

Yeah, you literally fucking can make this up. She thinks it’s true without any evidence being proferred. What else is expected of a loyal MAGAt?

Sure seems suspicious from every other point of view. Qatar never mentioned it last year, when President Biden was in office. Nor did President Biden’s office Nor did PINO Trump or anyone else until Sen. Mullin started talking about it.

Snopes notes, The claims circulated alongside a video of U.S. Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., appearing on CNN’s “The Lead” on May 14, 2025. During the appearance, Mullin said: “Here’s what’s interesting to me: What the media isn’t telling you, what nobody is talking about, is the same 747 has been in negotiations for a year. The Biden administration is the one that started these conversations. It didn’t start underneath the Trump administration.”

Here’s what’s interesting to me, Senator? Why did nobody else say anything about it before you spewed that lie on national television? As Snopes accurately wonders, why didn’t you mention it in earlier interviews? BTW, when the Defense Department was asked, they referred questions to the White House. Adding to the mystery, Trump claimed that Qatar offered it to him. He toured the offered aircraft and then raved about it.

Now, suddenly, when there’s heat about the legality of Trump accepting the aircraft, his gutless MAGA supporters are trying to spin it to make it appear Trump and his regime are complete innocents in this saga.

One wonders why the Qatari Prime Minister didn’t mention that it started negotiations with the previous administration when he was asked about the aircraft just a few weeks ago.

I personally wonder how Republican Sen. Mullin of Oklahoma knew about it when a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Mike Rounds, Republican of South Dakota, didn’t know about it, referencing the offered jet as ‘a modern trojan horse’.

Tell you what. If you believe the claim that the Biden Administration began ‘the negotiations’, I have a fleet of 747s to sell you.

Sunday’s Wandering Thoughts

There are so many times when ‘Breaking News’ is overused. What’s breaking isn’t news because we’ve been expecting it. Seems like it’s just a tool that’s employed to grab attention and increase readership or viewership.

But this one really was breaking news, and disheartening news for me.

Joe Biden drops out of 2024 race amid growing pressure from top Democrats

Saturday’s Theme Music

Mood: Weary

Not enough sleep last night. Tucker (pronounced Tuckah) matters. Just not eating enough. Aging, etc.

Also, dreams. Lot of weird freakin’ dreams.

A gray-blue sky covers us as smoke from a fire somewhere has made our valley its destination. 70 F now, weather forecasts paint us as hot — 100 F — dry, and dusty. This is Saturday, 7/13/2024.

The weather seers have revised our upcoming weather, so it’s gonna be hotter than we’d hoped. Not in triple digits, but just under it. We were all looking for a break.

The media is suddenly loud and big on Project 2025. Stories are leading across the mediascape about all the ways ultraconservatives under a Trump presidency want shove foundational changes to our freedom and rights, along with the way we do business. Their dream is of unshackled big business making obscene profits (as if current profit levels aren’t obscene) with no concern about the environment or planet, led by a ‘christian’ (as they define it) government, with an executive branch chasing vendettas

Out on the campaign trail, President Biden is striking back at critics who demand he step aside with fiery speeches and assertive attacks on Trump. On the GOP side, the media publish pieces with gentle chiding, even chuckling tones about Trump’s latest crazy rant in June about water and the New Green Deal.

They put restrictors and they put them on in places like here where there’s so much water you don’t know what to do with it. You know, it’s called rain. It rains a lot in certain places. But, now their idea, you know, did you see the other day? They just, I opened it up and they closed it again. I opened it, they close it, washing machines to wash your dishes. There is a problem. They don’t want you to have any water. They want no water.”

That’s part of Trump’s statement. ‘I opened it, they close it, washing machines to wash your dishes. There is a problem. They don’t want you to have any water. They want no water.’

This is coherent, intelligent discourse about water-saving measures? Yet few call for Trump to step aside, pass the baton, or let young leadership step forward. Crazy.

Thinking about Trump and what he’s said and done since he’s come on the political scene back in 2016 inspired The Neurons. They rang up Paul Simon’s song “Still Crazy After All These Years” from 1975 and have it playing in my morning mental music stream (Trademark sedated).

Be positive, remain strong, and Vote Blue in 2024. I have an appointment with coffee I must get to. Here’s the music. Cheers

Friday’s Theme Music

Mood: bummed

It’s Friday, Jun 28, 2024. Summery again today, 65 F with blue skies and clouds mixing it up, and 86 F expected as a high.

Last night’s presidential debate sucked. Watching President Biden was like watching your All-Pro quarterback go into a big game and bomb with fumbles, interceptions, and missed throws. Left me asking, what’s going on? There was also a lot of swearing on my end. I’m avoiding news for the moment. I took a big swig of coffee and looked at the news first thing but between stories of death and Pres. Biden’t debate performance, what I saw was putting me off my year.

Shouldn’t be a surprise, I suppose, that I dreamed of the end of the world. Well, don’t know if it was the planet’s ending or just human civilization or western civilization. Three dreams, actually. I see three, but the third one was a sequel to the first one after awakening and thinking of the first one.

I ended up musing about escaping after reading and dreaming as I muttered around the kitchen attending breakfast needs for me and the floofs. The Neurons picked up on it and offered Gwen Stefani’s song, “The Sweet Escape” from 2006 to the morning mental music stream (Trademark crashing). The song has the phrase in it, “If I could escape and create my perfect world,” which dovetailed with my thinking’s gist this AM.

Stay positive *cough cough* — yes, I have a lot of gall to put that up there after my negativity fest — and be strong — uh huh, I hear ya’ — and suck it in and Vote Blue in 2024. I gotta get more coffee. Here’s the music. Come on, let’s get going. Cheers

Worth Sharing

I’m pleased to share Annie’s recap of about Simon Rosenberg. “Hopium” Rosenberg’s insights into the 2024 polls — and why they’re wrong — make tremendous sense to me. Read and think about what his take, and you’ll see what I mean. Like these significant points:

Can you explain why? This goes back to the midterm congressional elections in 2022, as I recall?

“Yes. The argument I made then was threefold. One was that the Republicans did something unusual in 2022. Usually when a party loses elections, they run away from the politics that caused them to lose. And Republicans were running toward it. They were becoming ever more MAGA, even though MAGA had lost in 2018 and 2020.

“Second, that Biden was actually a good president, and we’d have a strong case to make. And third, there’s been this huge increase in citizen engagement in the Democratic Party. We’ve been raising crazy amounts of money and have an unprecedented number of volunteers because of the fear of MAGA”.

We were stronger and better than was the conventional wisdom. The constant mistake everyone’s been making since the spring of 2022 has been the overestimating of their strength and the underestimating of ours. We went into Election Day with there being this huge belief that the Democrats were going to get killed. I believed those three things were going to allow us to do better than people expected in 2022. And I have that basic view now about 2024.

I mean, shouldn’t we ask why what didn’t work in three previous elections will work in a fourth? No; three strikes; Trump is out.

Cheers
