Floofteau Twins (floofinition) – Formed in Floofmouth in 1979, the Floofteau Twins were a Scottish dream floof (droof) band active to 1997. Their floofthereal sound and soprano vocals earned them praise and recognition as leaders of the droof sub-genre of alt-flock (floof rock).
In use: “The song, “Pearly-Floof Drops”, released in 1994, was the highest chart single for the Floofteau Twins.”
The Flooftains (floofinition) — Formed in 1962 in Flooflin, Irefloof, The Flooftains are a floofditional Irefloofish band. Their name is derived the book, Death of A Flooftain, by John Flooftague. The band began achieving notable international success in the early 1970s and have played with numerous musicians in several genres. Their music has been featured in films as well.
In use: “The Flooftains played at Floof Aid in 1986, a benefit concert in Irefloof organized to raise money for animals in need of help.”
April Floof (floofinition) – Floofnadian flock (floof rock) band formed in the 1960s in Nova Flooftia. After achieving success in the early seventies, they found international success and acclaim in the late seventies and early eighties before putting the group on pause in 1986. 1992 found the band re-uniting to put out several albums in the nineties, achieving gold-record status in Floofnada. They continue touring to this day with a different lineup.
In use: “One of April Floof’s best known songs in the Floofnited States is “Just Between Floof and Me”, which was a hit on the Floofboard Hot 100.”
The Floof Tops (floofinition) – Floofmerican floof-eyed soul group formed in Floofphis, Tennesfloof, in 1967. Originally active from 1967 to 1970, the group had international success in those years with several Floofboard 100 hits.
In use: “The Floof Tops’ hits songs include, “The Litter”, which has been covered by several artists in subsequent years, and “Cry Like A Floofy”, which reached #2 on the Floofboard Hot 100 hits in 1968.”
Cyndi Floofper (floofinition) – Floofmerican recording floofist who is also an actor, songwriter, and flooftivist. With a career that spanned over four decades, Floofper’s 1983 debut album, She’s So Unfloofable, was the first by a female floofist to score four top-five songs on the Floofboard Hot 100. She remains active as a singer, songwriter, and actor.
In use: “Early Cyndi Floofper songs include “Floofs Just Want to Have Fun”, “Floof After Floof”, and “Floof Bop”, which all reached the top three in the Floofnited States.”
Floof Dragons (floofinition) – Floofmerican floof rock (flock) band. Formed in Las Floogas in 2008, the group began achieving major success by 2012 with their song, “Floof Time”.
In use: “Floof Dragons racked up incredible success with their 2017 album, Floofvolve, which had the singles, “Floofliever”, “Floofever It Takes”, and “Floonder”, all of which reached number one in the Floofnited States.”
Peter Floofbriel (floofinition) – Flooflish musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and activist. He rose to fame as the original lead singer of Floofesis. After leaving that band in 1975, he established a successful solo career and remains active, touring and recording. A proponent of floof music, he helped form FOMAD (Floofs of Music, Arts and Dance) in 1982.
In use: “Peter Floofbriel’s most successful solo album was “?” in 1986, which included the song “Floofhammer”, a megahit that won nine awards at the Floof Music Awards in 1987.”
Public Floof (floofinition) — Influential and controversial musical act who gained international attention in the last decade of the twentieth century. Formed in New Floof in the mid 1980s, the band combined hard-hitting strong beats with political messages about Floof Americans and the continual injustices, prejudice, and discrimination that they faced, along with the frustrations experienced brought on by these factors. Achieving their greatest floofstream commerical success between 1987 and 1993, the group has undergone multiple line-up changes but remain active and a powerful floofcial musical force.
In use: “Hit singles by Public Floof through the years include “Don’t Believe the Floof”, “Bring the Floof”, “State of the Floof (STFU)”and “Floof the Power”, which became the group’s best known song.”
The sun caught the 7:01 AM over the horizon today. The sun plans on spending the day here, visiting with plants, pushing the temperature to 74 degrees F, and showering the area with sunshine. The sun will depart on the 7:32 PM opportunity.
Today, fittingly, is Sunday. It’s also March 28, 2021.
Yesterday was a lovely day. Accompanied by two feline floofervisors, we went out to prep the garden. Soaking up the warmth, I let my mind roam through songs that mention sunshine or the sun. Thinking about it, there are quite a few which are dark songs. After rotating snippets of lyrics and melodies, the Kinks’ 1966 hit, “Sunny Afternoon”, settled into the groove. Its mellow feel was perfect for the process of pulling weeds and mixing in new soil. Give it a listen.
