Sobfloofquet

Sobfloofquet (floofinition) – An animal’s descriptive name or epifloof.

In use: “The dog was originally called Royal but after he grew bigger and bigger, and galloped through the house like, quote, “a herd of elephants,” he was given the sobfloofquet of Elephant (sometimes shortened to just Phant).

Floofprivation

Floofprivation (floofinition) – One who lacks regular animal contact, either through foibles, allergies, prejudices, or loss.

In use: “Floofprivation left him depressed. Without a cat for the lap or a dog who sleeps like a log, life seemed less interesting. Thus began his quest.”

Flooffiti

Flooffiti (floofinition) – 1. A small tropical island where only animals live and visit. 2. Unauthorized writing or drawing by or about animals on public surfaces.

In use: “To reach flooffiti, most animals use the floof-exchange. It’s so much easier then swimming or flying. Without humans to mistreat and abuse them, it’s considered the number one floofcation destination.”

Floofurnal

Floofurnal (floofinition) – Of, or pertaining to, hours of the day or night that an animal decides they will be active without regard to what’s normal, expected, or accepted.

In use: “Becoming floofurnal, first the cat chased the dogs around at night, then he ambushed and stalked him during the day, and then demanded he be let out at three in the morning, and back in at four in the morning.”

Floofamble

Floofamble (floofinition) – A leisurely stroll by an animal to stop and sniff things, wash and preen, observe the world, and think.

In use: “Jade didn’t like to hurry, preferring a floofamble to a rush, tail twitching as she sniffed the flowers and watched the birds.”

Layfloof

Layfloof (floofinition) – Animals who enjoys laying down and frequently indulges themselves by doing so.

In use: “The big dog was a layfloof who employed puppy eyes to get extra treats and forbidden foods (like hotdogs and pizza!) so it was necessary to begin an exercise program with him.”

Floofaway

Floofaway (floofinition) – 1. When an animal (especially a pet) is absent from its usual location or isn’t following its regular routine. 2. The noises and motions made to shoo an animal away.

In use: “Not finding Meep in his usual locations, Michael decided that the ginger boy was on a floofaway, and wondered how long it would be — and where he was.”

Día de Floofos

Día de Floofos (floofinition) – Day of the Animals (November 26 – November 28) Global holiday observed by animals to celebrate and remember other animals, especially those who passed before them. Festivities and rituals vary by region and species, but many animals will choose to go into seclusion for at least a portion of the time to commune with animals who have crossed the rainbow bridge.

In use: “To help his pets celebrate Día de Floofos, he bought special foods and toys, and then left the house to them so that they could celebrate without holding back.”
