Floofmosphere

Floofmosphere (floofinition) – The air of interest and attention in a locality dominated by animals, especially housepets.

In use: “When she opened a bag of cookies, the floofmosphere changed dramatically; sleeping cats and dogs opened their eyes, turned their heads, pricked up their ears, and waited.”

Flooftagonist

Flooftagonist (floofinition) – The animal who is the principal character in a work of fiction.

In use: “Enzo, a dog, is the flooftagonist in The Art of Racing in the Rain, a novel about a man’s life, and the dog’s role in his relationships.”

Centrifloofgal

Centrifloofgal (floofinition) – Proceeding or acting in a direction toward an animal that is the center or axis for all activities.

In use: “Many households organize along centrifloofgal patterns as pets (and their relationships) to their people dictate (or limit) plans.”

“Centrifloofgal force often stalled laundry days as pets climbed into baskets of freshly-laundered clothes and napped, too sweet to be disturbed.”

Butterfloof

Butterfloof (floofinition) – 1. An animal with fur the color of butter (also known as butterfur).

In use: “Everyone who saw the cat exclaimed, “What color is his fur?” To which she replied with a pleased smile, “He’s a butterfloof.” That explained it all.”

2. An animal which enjoys flitting from flower to flower.

In use: “Exploring, the puppy was a butterfloof, going about the backyard and sniffing everything that he found, pausing with each as if he was savoring new knowledge.”

3. Animals who enjoy the taste of butter.

In use: “A true butterfloof, the cat would hunt down anything that was buttered and begin consuming it. One had to be on constant guard.”

Floofrobe

Floofrobe (floofinition) – 1. A bathrobe or houserobe that housepets establish as their property.

In use: “She could never set her robe down without a cat immediately staking a claim to it, regarding her with a calm expression that stated, my robe.”

2. A garment made for an animals to provide weather protection and keep them warm.

In use: “She bought her little Scottie an adorable red and black  checked floofrobe. He looked like a perfect gentlefloof in it.”

Floofcase

Floofcase (floofinition) – 1. Luggage intended for travel that becomes usurped by one or more animals.

In use: “Whenever the luggage was brought out for a trip, a cat emerged and made themselves comfortable on it, as if stating, if you’re going, so am I.”

2. The reasons given for adopting a pet.

In use: “She made an elaborate floofcase for adopting the dog but it was all about his eyes and his look on Facebook. Other reasons really didn’t matter.”

 

Floofganic

Floofganic (floofinition) – Food specifically made and intended for animals, especially pets.

In use: “Every day, she treated her pets to a little locally produce floofganic fish stew with veggies. All lapped it up (except the bird, who always mocked it).”

Circumfloof

Circumfloof (floofinition) – 1. To go around an animal.

In use: “She was circumfloof as old Ranger was sleeping, and looked so sweet.”

2. An animal, especially a pet, who is discreet.

In use: “A circumfloof little dog, she was adept at stealing food from people’s plate.”

3. To limit an animal’s range or permitted activities.

In use: “The dogs were given circumfloofed areas to sleep — their beds, the floor, or outside, but NOT the beds, sofa, and chair — but they were usually found on the sofa, bed, and chairs.”

Trifloof

Trifloof (floofinition) – 1. The third pet in a household. 2. A four-legged animal that has lost a limb.

In use: “Four months old, Thor had been hit by a car and lost a limb, making the little black cat a trifloof, but he raced around the house without any issues or apparent lack of speed.”
