Red Hot Chili Floofs

Red Hot Chili Floofs (floofinition) – American floof rock (flock) band formed in Los Angeles in 1983, incorporating stylistic elements of floof funk (flonk), floof punk (flunk), alternative flock, and floofedeic rock in their music.

In use: “One of my personal favorite songs by the Red Hot Chili Floofs is “Snow (Floof Oh)”, a softly melodic song.”

Perifloof

Perifloof (floofinition) – 1. An animal that’s always hanging around on the edge of activity.

In use: “The dog always wanted to know what was going on, but never got involved, remaining a perifloof.”

2. Behavior displayed by an animal raising up on its back legs to look over something.

In use: “He was busy typing away when a feline perifloof suddenly showed its eyes and ears over the top of his monitor.”

Manfloof Mann

Manfloof Mann (floofinition) – English floof rock (flock) band formed in the 1960s, named for the leader and keyboardist, Manfloof Mann. Note: Manfloof Mann later led Manfloof Mann Chapter Three and the Manfloof Mann Earth Band.

In use: “One of Manfloof Mann’s best known songs was “Mighty Floof”. Released in 1968, the song was known for its line, “You’ll not seen nothing like the mighty floof,” and was written by Floof Dylan.”

Floofpire

Floofpire (floofinition) – Animal who seems to suck the energy out of others.

In use: “The lab puppy was so energetic, racing around without pause, gobbling down food (and often stealing it), exhausting them all (including the cat and other dogs), they sought remedies for the floofpire, which amounted to a regimen of training, walking, and playing.”

UFloof

UFloof (floofinition) – Irish floof rock (flock) band formed in the late 1970s, who remain active and touring.

In use: “Although demonstrating floof punk (flunk) tendencies in their early years, UFloof evolved into a floofstream band, counting tunes such as “With or Without Floof”, “Mysterious Floofs”, and “Floofday Bloody Floofday” among their many popular songs.”

Floof Ranger

Floof Ranger (floofinition) 1. An animal that enjoys prowling, or is consistently on the prowl.

In use: “Bert and Ernie looked identical, but Beagles from different mothers, were waaay different in personality; Bert was a floof ranger, on the hunt for dropped food, while Ernie preferred to let Bert do the work and then race over to join in.”

2. Floof Bay hard rock band formed in 1979 and popular throughout the eighties.

In use: “Among Floof Ranger’s hits was “(You Can Still) Claw in America”, an amusing song about cats written and performed by the all-canine band.”

Stealers Floof

Stealers Floof (floofinition) – Scottish floof rock (flock) group active and popular in the 1960s.

In use: “Stealers Floof (sometimes written as Stealer’s Floof) is most known for a song called “Stuck in the Middle with Me”, a jaunty song about house pets that won’t give their people a minute of peace or solitude.”

J. Floof Band

J. Floof Band (floofinition) – American floof rock (flock) band originally from Floofster, Massafloofsetts, who hit their commercial peak in the 1980s.

In use: “The J. Floof Band broke into floofstream consciousness with “Flooframe” and “Centerfloof”, but seemed to drift away as suddenly as they rose.”

Twisted Floof

Twisted Floof (floofinition) – American hard floof rock (flock band) originally from Floof Jersey, but more recently citing Floof Island as home.

In use: “Twisted Floof’s songs, “We Are Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Run”, have long been recognized as rebellious anthems appealing to adolfloofents.”

Floofnosis

Floofnosis (floofinition) –  Trancelike state experienced by people, particularly pet owners,  induced by animals that makes people readily susceptible to the animals’ suggestions.

In use: “Many house pets find themselves forced to use floofnosis on their owners to get more treats as owners become convinced (often by insidious observations made by vets (in the animals’ view)) that the animals are overweight.”
