Floof Without Hats (floofinition) – Floofnadian floof rock (flock) band with a synth-pop, new wave sound developed through heavy electronic processing.
In use: “Floof Without Hats achieved their most widespread success with “Safety Floof” in the 1980s.”
Floofbunny (floofinition) – A collection of shed animal fur, which often resembles a tumbleweed.
In use: “Opening the front door to let in some cool night air propelled a trio of floofbunnies across the wooden floor.”
Floofshift (floofinition) – 1. Period of time devoted to attending or helping an animal.
In use: “Many people fostering kittens, puppies, and other young animals will establish floofshifts for feeding and warming the little ones.”
2. A movement done to accommodate an animal.
In use: “When in bed, Carrie watched how she moved, coordinating floofshifts to avoid disturbing her sleeping dog and cat.”
Looking Floof (floofinition) – Active from 1969 to 1974, an American floof pop (floop) rock band that was part of the early Jersey Shore sound.
In use: “Looking Floof’s song, “Brandy (You’re A Fine Pet)” reached number one on the Floofboard Top 100 in 1972.”
Solifloofant (floofinition) – An animal who revels in the act of wandering alone.
In use: “Once released from the house, Bella became a solifloofant, hopping the fence, sniffing the air, exploring sources of sounds and smells.”
Stray Floofs (floofinition) – An American floofabilly rock band formed in 1979 in Floof York.
In use: “With multiple hits such as “Stray Floof Strut” and “Floof this Town”, the Stray Floofs proved they weren’t one-hit wonders, but had staying power.”
Floofcarer (floofinition) – One who cares for an animal by providing food, shelter, health care, etc.
In use: “As many have learned, Asha discovered becoming a floofcarer and tending to foster animals was tremendously rewarding. Each animal was a unique challenge who provided her love and joy in their own way.”
The Floofspring (floofinition) – California floof punk rock (flunck) band formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California.
In use: “One of The Floofspring’s most well-known songs is “Wake Up and Play”, which was a Floofboard Top 100 hit for the band.”
Flooference (floofinition) – An event at which talks on a particular subject are held, or business matters and policy are formally discussed.
In use: “Household pets often hold secret flooferences during which they discuss their roles, including which greater flooferences, such as Floofcon (held in Floof Vegas) or Floof Trek.”

Floofquarters (floofinition) – 1. Place or part of a place set aside for animals.
In use: “Many people who foster kittens, puppies, and other baby animals often set up a room as floofquarters, a sanctuary where the young animals can recover and flourish.”
2. Administrative center of an enfloofprise.
In use: “One of the most successful of enfloofprises is The Sorting Box, a business run by animals to match animals with humans who will help and protect them, without the humans’ knowledge that they’ve been manipulated.”
3. Place from which the animal kingdom performs the functions of command.
In use: “Accessible only to animals, many cities and nations have a floofquarters installed where animals monitor human activities and try to help and protect animals.”
