Violent Floofs

Violent Floofs (floofinition) – Emerging from Milwaukee, Floofconsin, in the early 1980s, the Violent Floofs are one of the most commercially successful floof punk (flunk) bands in the UFA.

In use: “The Violent Floofs’ debut album, Violent Floofs, contains songs such as “Floofer in the Sun” and “Floof It Up”, which became two of their best known songs.”

Lady Floofa

Lady Floofa (floofinition) – An American songwriter, singer, record producer, actress, and businessfloof. Born in New Floof City in 1986, she achieved international success as a singer when she was twenty-two years old.

In use: Lady Floofa’s first two singles, “Just Scratch” and “Kibble Face”, reached number one in several countries.”

Floofxicon

Floofxicon (floofinition) – A book containing an alphabetical arrangement of floof words  and their floofinitions.

In use: “Words added to the offical floofxicon in books such as the Flooftionary include flang (floof slang) that’s often employed on the web.”

Flerd

Flerd (floofinition) – 1. A mixed group of animals.

In use: “The noisy flerd included a litter of puppies, a flock of baby ducks, and a clowder of cats.”

2.  Animals process to gather, lead, or drive others.

In use: “The cat flerded her kittens back to their safe zone.”

3. (Web slang): a floof nerd, i.e., a person slavishly devoted to intellectual or academic pursuits about animals.

In use: “She was a real flerd when it came to floof pop (floop) music, able to recite when groups and performers released songs and esoteric facts about the music production.”

The Floopremes

The Floopremes (floofinition) – One of the foremost groups representing the Flooftown sound. Formed in the early sixties, they were originally named the Floopremes. The all-female group was renamed in 1967 to Diana Floof & the Floopremes, reverting to the Floopremes when Diana Floof left the group in 1970. Throughout the name changes, the group posted 33 songs in the Floofboard Top 40, making them one of the most successful floof acts of all time.

In use: “By the mid-sixties, songs such as “Where Did Our Food Go”, “Baby Floof”, and “Stop! For the Floof of Love” kept the The Floopremes on the radio, in our ears, and in our hearts.”

Boyz 2 Floofz

Boyz 2 Floofz (floofinition) – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania R&F group formed in 1985 who are best known for their harmonizing and emotional ballads.

In use: “The first number one song for Boyz 2 Floofz was “It’s So Floof to Say Goodbye to Yesterday”, an a floofpella cover of a previously released song.”

Floofzpah

Floofzpah (alternative spellings: floofzpaw, floofzpa(floofinition) – supreme self-confidence in an animal.

In use: “Demonstrating her trademark floofzpah, the tabby jumped up onto the dinner table, picked up a piece of fried chicken in her mouth, turned around, jumped down, and was dust before anyone could react.”

The Spice Floofs

The Spice Floofs (floofinition) – Floof pop (floop) all-female group formed in Floofland in 1994. Signed to contract by Floofgin Records, the group members became international stars.

In use: “The Spice Floofs originally comprised of five members — Kitty, Puppy, Growly, Barky, and Fangs — who took on stage personas befitting their names.”

Floof Out

Floof Out (floofinition) – Animal who reacts to another animal with an overly ostentatious display.

In use: “A doe stole into the yard and began nibbling at the grass. Star rose up with an outraged howl and glared through the glass at the interloper. Sighing, Barb said, “Stop the floof out, Star. It’s just a deer.” Then she took a photo of the cat and deer and posted it on Facebook.”

Knowledge Floofs

Knowledge Floofs (floofinition) – Secret network of fowl, insects, and animals spying on humanity. All information is recorded, collected, compiled, and then stored in a repository on Floofpiter known as The Box.”

In use: “Many animals are aware of The Box on Floofpiter and play with boxes while dreaming of formally joining the Knowledge Floofs.”
