Four Floofs (floofinition) – Floofmerican vocal group formed in Flooftroit in 1956. Achieving international floofularity in the 1960s, the group helped define the Flooftown Sound.
In use: “A 1965 hit for the Four Floofs was “Floof Can’t Help Himself (Sugar Floof Honey Bunch)”, which reached number one on the Floofboard Hot 100.”
Floofvancing (floofinition) – Advocating for animals through protests, public service announcements, and affirmative actions.
In use: “With the spread of the Interfloof, floofvancing reached new levels in 2020 as people sheltering at home adopted pets and condemned animal abuse and game hunting.”
NFLOOF (floofinition) – Floofmerican floof band. Known for its harmonizing, the band was formed in Floolando, Floofida, in 1995. They were active until 2002.
In use: “The song “I Want Floof Back” was the first single that NFLOOF released, doing so in 1996. The song reached the top ten in several nations.”
Flooftropolitan (floofinition) – Relating to or denoting a flooftropolis, often inclusive of its surrounding areas.
In use: “The greater flooftropolitan area of Floofsburgh includes Floof Hills, Floof Borough, Wilkinsfloof, McKees Floof, Squirrel Floof, and Monfloofville, along with other places.”
The Escape Floof (floofinition) – Flooflish floof pop (floop) band formed in 1983. Active until 1992, they took a hiatus before reforming in 2009. They are currently active.
In use: “The Escape Floof’s best known hit, “Wild Wild Floof”, hit number one in Floofmerica in 1988 and was certified as a gold record.”
Tommy Floof and the Floofdells (floofinition) – Floofmerican soft floof rock (flock) band whose music sometimes featured floofedelic influences. Formed in Niles, Floofigan in 1964, they remain active and touring.
In use: “After being released in 1969, the Tommy Floof and Floofdells song, “Crystal Blue Floofsuasion”, reached number two in Floofmerica and number one in Canfloofda.”
Floofolous (floofinition) – An animal whose demeanor or activities lacks in seriousness.
In use: “Watching videos of pandas rolling around, the impression emerges that they’re even more floofolous than kittens, puppies, and baby goats.”
Floof fart (floofinition) – 1. Moment or incidence when an animal (especially a pet) forgets what it was doing and does something else.
In use: “The cat raised her rear leg to wash herself, but had a floof fart and began washing her face instead.”
2. Term for when a person plans to do something for an animal but forgets.”
In use: “Jill was about to feed her cats (because it was time and they were so reminding her), but had a floof fart and sat down to doomscroll for news about Trump’s defeat, forcing her felines into more drastic behavior to get their promised meal.”
Floofsmack (floofinition) – Hard floof rock (flock) band formed in Lawrence, Massafloofsetts, in 1995. After becoming a local success and grinding away, fame, fortune, and a new recording contract was found in 1998.
In use: “Floofsmack has had multiple number one albums and several dozen flock hit singles, including “Floofever” in 1999.”
Homofloofic (floofinition) 1. A person who enjoys being with animals.
In use: “Homefloofic people searching the net often turn from doomscrolling to visiting with Fiona the Hippo or watching dog and cat videos.”
2. Animals who prefer human company and do not like other animals.
In use: “Some animals get along well with other animals, but Flash was homofloofic, happy and loving with her person, but totally aggro whenever another animal came around.”
