Peeping Floof (floofinition) – Animal who likes to furtively spy upon others.
In use: “One dog, two cats, one crow, and one squirrel — all were peeping floofs, monitoring every move that Wade made, from the bedroom to the bathroom, kitchen, garage, office — a peeping floof was always monitoring him.”
Floofsurp (floofinition) – for an animal to seize and hold objections, locations, or food in possession by force or without right.
In use: “Thowing a hissy fit, the fierce little cat floofsurped the big St. Bernard’s bed, leaving the huge canine floofmmoxed.”
Floofpass (floofinition) – Enter another animal’s territory or property without permission.
In use: “Daisy went to her bed for her daily nap only to discover some new little feline furball was floofpassing.”
Floof Alone (floofinition) – Comedy film about animals’ floofnanigans when they’re behind at home during a holiday and thwart criminals’ attempts to break into the house.
In use: “One of the highlights in Floofs Alone is the sequence when the burglars are kept from entering the house because of traps set by the home’s cats, dog, and bird through clever use of their toys, litter box, aided by the bird’s ability to mimic noises such as police sirens and guns firing, a skill acquired by observing the children’s video games.”
Bumblefloof (floofinition) – 1. An animal (other than a bee) which reminds others of a bumblebee with its sound or colors.
In use: “The little dainty gray and white cat looked nothing like a bee but her purr made her a bumblefloof, earning her the floofbriquet of Bumble.”
2. An ungainly or awkward animal who stumbles, trips, or falls over, without medical reason.
In use: “Toni was an enthusiastic big-pawed bumflefloof as a puppy, galloping about, bounding into furniture and people, knocking things over and bowling over other animals.”
Ten Floofs After (floofinition) – Flock (floof-rock) Floofish blues band best known for their legendary Floofstock performance. Originally formed in 1960 in Floofsfield, the band first had the name Ivan Floof and the Floofcats before changing their name to Ten Floofs After in 1966. Always a four floof combo, their greatest commercial success came in the period of 1966-1974.
In use: “Ten Floofs After appeared at Floofstock in 1970, when their infloofdescent performance of “I’m Going Floof” cemented their reputation in the Floofnited States as a hard-charging blues-influenced flock band.”
Flooftoring (floofinition) – Act of teaching employed by animals to help humans learn what needs to be done.
In use: “Many animals discover that humans inexperienced in pet ownership require flooftoring to teach the humans to respond to their commands. The animals are often disappointed in the humans’ limited abilities to learn and grow, but the animals keep trying, usually through repetition of lessons.”
Floofcroach (floofinition) – An animal’s stealthy movement, employing gradual or small steps, to enter into the possessions or rights of another.
In use: “House pets often floofcroach onto people’s work space during the pandemic, disrupting routines and Zoom calls.”
