Floofjection (floofinition) – a housepet’s dismissal or refusal of an offering or action.
In use: “The cat had a habit of floofjection whenever people attempted to stroke her silky black fur, raising a paw and gazing at them with an expression in her enormous green eyes that said, “No. Look, but don’t touch.””
Floofgrate (floofinition) – a housepet’s habit of changing their sleeping location(s).
In use: “During the winter, the cats and dogs floofgrated from window to window, following the sun’s path.”
Floofmeling (floofinition) – when one housepet, often a cat, repeatedly strikes another housepet.
In use: “Despite the floofmeling that the young cat rained on the young dog, the dog stayed where he was, continuing to try to smell and lick the cat.”
Flooftake (floofinition) – housepets eating or drinking something that a human was planning to eat or drink.
In use: “He made a mistake, leaving his sandwich and chips on a plate on the table while he went into the other room for his book. Upon returning, he found the cat and dog had flooftaken the sandwich, and were working on the chips.”
Floofatorium (floofintition) – a house or public building’s part where the housepets congregate.
In use: “With its cozy queen bed, three chairs, and a sliding door and windows that let in light, the guest room soon became the floofatorium during the day.”
Floofercise (floofinition) – exercise achieved by interaction with a housepet; exercise routines used by housepets.
In use: “Every day, the young orange cat walked up to the person when she emerged from the bedroom and mewed in greeting, and then jumped into a floofercise routine, galloping around the room as though an invisible rider had applied spurs to the cat.”
