Foodiefloof

Foodiefloof (floofinition) – a housepet who displays loyalty to whoever has the food; a housepet who is fond of food and eating.

In use: “Titus is sometimes a dudefloof, but when I’m cooking, he becomes a foodiefloof, and then, he’s all mine!”

Dudefloof

Dudefloof (floofinition) – a housepet who prefers male company.

In use: “In a house with three young girls and two female adults, the dog turned out to be a dudefloof, even though one of the girls had rescued him. Wherever her husband went, the spaniel followed.”

Roofloof

Roofloof (floofinition) – housepet, often cats and birds, who enjoy hanging around on roofs.

In use: “The next-door tortie was a roofloof. If our neighbor didn’t find her on his roof, he’d walked around, looking on other roofs and calling her. It was a seasonal habit, exercised only when sunshine abounded.”

Floofproach

Floofproach (floofinition) – the manner taken to walk up to, pet, or speak to a housepet.

In use: “One must be cautious in their floofproach when dealing with Tina. She’s gentle and sweet, but she is large and has her floofuliarities. For example, an unexpected hand toward her face will earn one a sharp rebuke.”

Floofsation

Floofsation (floofinition) – the impressions and feelings known when with a housepet, or while remembering a housepet.

In use: “Seeing the empty ceramic food bowl, he pulsed with deep floofsations of seeing his little long-haired cat rushing up to the bowl, dancing from foot to foot as he ate and purred. Hearing memories of the purr recalled the cat jumping on his lap and gazing at him with shiny, wide green eyes as he kneaded and purred. Teary, with a lump rising in his throat, he remembered how the cat would curl up, look back up at him, and gently bite his chin.”

Floofanada

Floofanada (floofinition) – a housepet who doesn’t seem to take up any room, cause any trouble, or leave any mess.

In use: “She had a Siamese and a Corgi but, looking around, he didn’t see any pet hair, food or water dishes, toys, nor the pets. They were floofanada, he concluded.”

Floofaloompa

Floofaloompa (floofinition) – housepet with bumpy or matted fur; a housepet that resembles a Oompa-loompa from the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory books and movies.

In use: “Although the six-year-old brushed her long-haired tuxedo cat every evening with loving attention, he was always a floofaloompa, with knots and matted lumps of fur, by mid-morning the next day.”

Floofgenitor

Floofgenitor (floofinition) – 1. housepet who is the precursor; 2. housepet who originates a practice; 3. housepet that’s in the direct line of floofcestors.

In use: “Candid was the floofgenitor that established the animals’ habit of wanting to drink the bath water. Once she started doing it, the rest also took to the practice, as if the bath water was a magical brew.”

Floofcestor

Floofcestor (floofinition) – one from whom a housepet is descended and who is usually more remote in the line of descent than a grandfloof.

In use: “Although he weighed but nine pounds, Andi was certain that Jon Snow’s floofcestors included a saber-toothed tigers, given the black cat’s amazing hunting prowess.”

Floofport

Floofport (floofinition) – 1. Act of carrying a housepet; 2. Mode of one pet carrying another, such as a mother carrying her young; 3. Slang reference to a pet door.

In use: “Floofporting a kitten in her mouth, the momma cat prepared to leave via the floofport, pushing the woman to rush over, pick the two up, and floofport them back into the other room where she’d set a box up for the new feline family.”
