Mundaz Wandering Political Thoughts

The net speaks!

Some samples from the net showing reactions to Dizzy Donny’s regime and their hypocrisy and latest failures.

Tone deaf and ignorant, screaming like a lost and bewildered toddler. That’s Trump.

MAGAland is an alter reality wealthy with hypocrisy.

More FAFO for your consideration.

Honesty. Integrity. Principles. Intelligence. Senator Kelly has all four. Cadet Bonespurs and his regime have none of them.

The cracks in Trump’s altered reality grow. The truth emerges. Still, some will refuse to see it, hear it, learn it, know it.

An effective and creative protest.

Lesson still not learned by some.

Lesson learned…again…? Maybe.

Check back in a few years.

Satyrdaz Wandering Political Thoughts

Here it is again.

Yes, it’s a day that ends with the letter y. That means that PINO Trump is letting loose with another fact-free, incredibly stupid text. In this case, Trump is declaring that he as 47 has won the Nobel Prize in Physics. This is so mind-jarringly freakin’ insane that I had to vet it several times.

How Trump just subtly claimed a Nobel Prize in physics

In a post on his Truth Social platform Thursday, Trump appeared to take credit for the Nobel Prize in Physics, which was awarded to physicists John Clarke, Michel Devoret and John Martinis earlier this month for their discoveries related to quantum mechanics in 1984 and 1985.

Trump cited a statement, attributed to Energy Secretary Chris Wright, which appears to give the president credit over the experiments conducted decades ago.

See, Chris Wright is not the name of any of the physicists who won the Nobel Prize in Physics.

But Trump in his alternate reality thinks one of them is named Chris Wright. Chris Wright, a former CEO. Crazy Donnie’s statement states, “Chris Wright: ‘A former Lawrence Berkeley National Lab scientist won the Nobel Prize in physics for work in Quantum physics. Quantum computing, along with AI and Fusion, are the three signature Trump science efforts. Trump 47 racks up his first Nobel Prize!!’”

Chris Wright.

John Clarke, Michel Devoret, John Martinis.

Those names are not at all similar. To claim it as an honest mistake is all kinds of BS.

Further, though, and worse, Trump chalks this up as a victory for himself. He had nothing to do with any of it. What a liar and a fool he’s proven himself to be once again. But as Nan put it, yet, yet, yet, Trumpets are quite satisfied with this idiot leading them.

What unthinking, foolish sheeple they are in MAGAland. But as we’ve seen, they don’t care until they’re personally affected.

Then, of course, it’s too late.

Frida’s Wandering Political Thoughts

Did you see Trump’s fantasy spin involving himself, Lincoln, and Reagan?

It’s been out for a while so you probably have. I saw it again today and couldn’t stop thinking about it.

See, he has a painting of himself with Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln. Titled ‘Great American Patriots,’ illustrator and painter Dick Bobnick created this. Mr Bobnick describes his painting, “Three American presidents who changed American History for the better in the areas of race, taxation, religious liberty, military strength, international relations, the economy and morality.”

I’m going out on a limb and suggest that historians are going to disagree with Bobnick on his assessment of Trump. Many people already disagree with his conclusion that Trump changed history for the better in the areas of morality. Trump is an actual felon, convicted in a court. Been married several times and cheated on every wife. Trump lies and lies and lies and lies and lies, and is in the business of weaponizing the legal system to go after his enemies. This is not the epitome of ‘morality’.

Trump has no idea who Lincoln and Reagan are. He has no idea who he is. He has a warped and twisted vision that the three of them are cut from the same American fabric. He, an unchecked and unrepentant serial liar whose every action and word is tearing our nation apart, dares to compare himself with Abraham Lincoln, who worked so hard to re-unite the nation, a man with the nickname of honest Abe, renown for his honesty and integrity. Con Don Trump thinks he’s on par with Abraham Lincoln. My body splits with laughter just considering the insanity.

That’s just half of the comparison going on. The third person depicted is Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan, the Great Communicator. And rambling, word salad Donald Trump. Trump who said, “You look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me, it would have been so easy, and it’s not – as important as their lives are, nuclear is so powerful. My uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power, and that was 35 years ago. He would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right – who would of thought – but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners, now it used to be three – now it’s four- but when it was was three and even now I would have said, it’s all in the messenger fellas and it is fellas because you know they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so you know it’s going to take them about another 150 years but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators so and they, they just killed, they just killed us.” That’s from an August of 2016 speech. He’s gotten much worse in the years since.

And he compares himself to Lincoln and Reagan. It’s so surreally, magnificently — and Trumply — unreal.

It’s Embarrassing…

Daily writing prompt
What was the best compliment you’ve received?

I kind of cringe and debate about answering this. It feels like bragging. But I’m gonna take a deep breath and put it out there.

I received the same compliment from six different people, six different times. It really felt flattering, receiving it every time, and I glow as I remember it now. Each of these people were individuals I respected. So I thought it the best compliment when each called me years after they’d last worked for me and said, “You’re the best person I ever worked for.”

I mean, you know, I tried. I think many do try to be a good boss, someone who is honest to their people, trying to help them grow, and hopefully developing bonds. Half of those people who called were from my military career, and the other half were from my civilian positions. Regardless of whether I was in the military or a civilian, my stance as ‘boss’ was driven by several tenets. One, treat everyone with respect. Two, trust people. Three, be honest. Four, teamwork and communicating are critical to get things done. And five, the best evidence that you’re a good leader is how well your team does when you’re not around. So after all those years, to get those calls, man, it was satisfying and rewarding.

Probably a good thing that they waited and called me up to tell me that, though. Otherwise, it would have gone right to my head.

Say What?

I said to my wife (yet again), “I can’t believe that NBC hired Ronna McDaniel.”

I’ve told her this several times since the news was announced. Ronna McDaniel is the former RNC chair. “Wny? She has no integrity. She supports the idea that the 2020 POTUS election was stolen or not fair in some way.”

“She sold out her name,” my wife replied. “A person who sells out their name to take a job will see which way the wind is blowing and change. Give it a few months.”

“That’s my point,” I answered. “She has no spine. No integrity. She never acknowledged that Joe Biden fairly won the election. All those lawsuits that said, didn’t happen. All that lack of evidence.”

I went on for a few minutes but my wife had zoned out. Her eyes had shifted to her computer screen. She wasn’t even pretend nodding to show she was still listening.

Yes, I’m angry. I clearly remember news reports declaring that Federal officials in Trump’s government said, “There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes or was in any way compromised.”

That didn’t matter to Ronna. No sir. She now belonged to Trump.

“I think saying that there were problems with 2020 is very real. I don’t think that’s election denying,” McDaniel told Wallace. “I’m from Wayne County. We had a woman send a note saying I’m being told to backdate ballots. We had to look into that. That’s deeply concerning. When you have friends who are poll-watching and being kicked out, that’s deeply concerning. We have every right to look at that.”

In the interview, Wallace pressed McDaniel if she believed Biden legitimately won the election.

“I think there were lots of problems with 2020. Ultimately, he won the election but there were lots of problems with the 2020 election,” she said. “But I don’t think he won it fair. I don’t. I’m not going to say that.”

Excuse me, can you produce any evidence, Ronna? LIke, what were the results when you looked into the note from a ‘woman being told to backdate ballots.’ Was there evidence that was true? Or are you just throwing up bullshit?

That’s my primary concern with Ronna McDaniel as a member of the network she’s been consistently attacking and lying about since she became RNC chair. She was full of crap, making accusations and statements without backing it up with facts.

And now, you, NBC, are promoting this voice of lies, amplifying her as a serious person with serious positions, bending over backwards in the name of ‘bothsides’.

That is why you, NBC, have become part of the problem with US politics. You’re promoting a deceiver, a liar.

Which really demonstrates your own lack of scruples. No wonder that trust in the media keeps declining in America.

Monday’s Wandering Thoughts

Between Donald Trump refusing — well, backing out of testifying at his trial — and refusing to debate opponents after avoiding military service decades ago, he’s really a solid coward in my eyes. Others share that opinion, like DeSantis, Ben Meiselas, Dick Cheney, Mary Trump, Adam Kinzinger, Chris Christie, my wife, most of my family, many net friends, and my beer buddies.

I don’t understand why people support such a coward. It’s like such supporters embrace and cheer cowardice as an American value.
