Floofgacious

Floofgacious (floofinition) 1. An extremely shrewd or clever animal.

In use: “The little black cat with glass-green eyes showed herself to be floofgacious right from the start, opening cupboards and doors, turning on water facets, and knowing how to threaten the other animals without actually striking them, accomplishing a bloodless coup d’floof within three days of her arrival.”

2. Someone knowledgeable about animals.

In use: “She called herself a ‘home mom’ (although she worked eighteen hours a week at a small gift shop owned by a friend), but between her four children bringing home animals, fostering animals, and living in a rural Pacific northwest town where close contact with animals was the norm, she became very floofgacious.”

Floofilize

Floofilize (floofinition) – 1. To make into a dwelling suitable for an animal’s existence.

In use: “When a litter of kittens was brought in to foster, they floofilized a room where they’d be safe until proper socialization could begin.”

2. “To become stiff and unable to move due to an animal’s presence atop you.”

In use: “Pet owners often sit down to watch television or read only to become floofilized after an animal jumps up on their lap and goes into sleep.”

Flooflist

Flooflist (floofinition) – 1. shopping list for items required to buy for housepets. 2. A list, record, index, or advertisement of animals available for fostering, rescue, lost, or found.

In use: “Each day, she perused flooflists from regional shelters, searching for her lost dog, but had no luck. However, she fell in love with one mature, unwanted dog and decided that she would adopt him. The day after he moved in, her lost dog, Esmerelda, returned.”
