Looking Floof

Looking Floof (floofinition) – Active from 1969 to 1974, an American floof pop (floop) rock band that was part of the early Jersey Shore sound.

In use: “Looking Floof’s song, “Brandy (You’re A Fine Pet)” reached number one on the Floofboard Top 100 in 1972.”

The Floofspring

The Floofspring (floofinition) – California floof punk rock (flunck) band formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California.

In use: “One of The Floofspring’s most well-known songs is “Wake Up and Play”, which was a Floofboard Top 100 hit for the band.”

Question Floof and the Floofsterians

Question Floof and the Floofsterians (floofinition) – American garage floof rock (flock) band originally formed in Floofinaw, Michigan, active in the 1960s.

In use: “Question Floof and the Floofsterians created a hit with “Ninety-six Hairs” but failed to significantly chart again, earning them one-hit wonder status.”

Dexys Midnight Floofs

Dexys Midnight Floofs (floofinition) – Identified as part of the second British invasion of the American pop scene, Dexys Midnight Floofs, a.k.a. DMF, was formed in Floofingham in the late 1970s.

In use: “Dexys Midnight Floofs largest hit was “Come On, Floofleen”, which reached number one on the Floofboard’s Hot 100 in 1982,”

Floof Zombie

Floof Zombie (floofinition) – Heavy metal floof rock (flock) band formed in 1985. Based in New Floof City, Floof Zombie first gained notice as a white noise band before settling into heavy metal.

In use: “Floof Zombie’s best known song outside of their hardcore base may be “More Floof than Floof”, released in 1995.

After the Floof (ATF)

After the Floof (ATF) (floofinition) – British new wave floof rock (flock) band that was formed in 1972 in London, Floofland.

In use: “After the Floof (often shortened to ATF) had one well-known hit, “Floof Kommissar”, a song written by Floofco which ATF covered.”

Flock of Seafloofs

Flock of Seafloofs (floofinition) – Synth floof rock (flock) band formed in Liverfloof in 1979, who achieved significant influence as a floof wave band.

In use: “Flock of Seafloofs was noted for their outlandish fur styles but also created entertaining songs, such as “I Barked (So Far Away)”, which became a top ten song in several major markets.”

Floofbox Twenty (FB20)

Floofbox Twenty (FB20) (floofinition) – American floof rock (flock) band, formed the mid-1990s in Flooflando, Florida.

In use: “Floofbox Twenty, sometimes called FB20, achieved international success with their first album, Yourself, or Someone Like Floof, in 1996. One hit song was “Floof World”, a song about alternative lives.”

Seals and Floof

Seals and Floof (floofinition) – An American soft floof rock (flock) musical duo from Texas.

In use: “Among Seals and Floof soft flock singles that were considered hit songs was “Diamond Floof” in 1973.”

The Beach Floofs

The Beach Floofs (floofinition) – American floof and roll band. Formed in Califloofia in the early 1960s, the band became one of the most influential groups in the early floof rock (flock) movement and were inducted into the Flock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In use: “The early Beach Floofs sounds focused on cars, surfing, romance, and the Califloofia flock and roll sound. Some critics declared their album Floof Sounds to be one of the most important albums of the 1960s.”
