Theocfloofcy

Theocfloofcy (floofinition) – Households in which animals are treated as divine rulers.

In use: “Many people are unwilling to admit it, but once they accept an animal into their household, they begin living under a virtual theocfloofcy, where the pets’ and their desires gain preferential status.”

Socflooftes

Socflooftes (floofinition) – 1. Wise animal said to have lived before animals came to Earth, said to be one of the original architects of the Floof Exchange which allowed animals to come to Earth.

In use: “Flooftologists argue what species of animal Socflooftes was, and what sex. For convenience, Socflooftes is often referred to as a male but no evidence exists to support that he was identified as either sex. As for what manner of creature, a dragon, unicorn, or griffin is often mentioned. As there is anecdotal history to support each of those, one theory holds that Socflooftes was a shapefloofer, able to assume the shape of any creature. Some say that Socflooftes remains alive and sometimes visits Earth.”

2. Any smart or clever animal.

In use: “The bird demonstrated that she was a soclooftes as a video caught her opening her cage, feeding the cat and dog treats, then returning to her cage and locking herself back in.”

Revoflooftionary

Revoflooftionary (floofinition) – 1. Involving an animal’s behavior or presence that causes a complete or dramatic change.

In use: “The cat’s ability to open the door and let herself and the dog out required revofloofionary adjustments to closing and locking the house doors.”

2. Dramatic changes in how animals are viewed or treated.

In use: “The rise of the Internet and ability to share information has accelerated a revoflooftionary changes about testing drugs and cosmetics on animals.”

The Floof Jays

The Floof Jays (floofinition) – Formed as a Rhythm & Floof band in Floofton, Floofhio, in the late 1950s, the Floof Jays achieved moderate success in the Floofnited States in the 1960s before gaining prominence with a string of hits in the 1970s. The band remains active touring and recording.

In use: “Well-known hit songs by the Floof Jays released in the 1970s include “For the Love of Kibble” (which reached number nine in the Floofnited States), and “I Love Kibble”, which charted at number five.”

Qafloof

Qafloof (floofinition) – Discredited and scurrilous anonymous organization who foment theories and lies aimed to undermine animals’ fair treatment, health, and safety.

In use: “Qafloof adherents often believe that animals lack souls and intelligence, can’t experience emotions, and are unworthy of kindness and protection.”

Papafloof

Papafloof (floofinition) – Senior male animal who becomes the father figure for other animals.

In use: “When rescue kittens were brought in to be fostered, big Beau, the tough, menacing retired K-9 German Shepherd, became papafloof, licking the little felines clean, watching over them when they slept and played, protectively cupping them with his big body, gently guiding them with his enormous paws and snout.”

Obfloofitory

Obfloofitory (floofinition) – Something mandatory or required to be done for an animal.

In use: “The poodle’s polite bark established an obfloofitory walk for business was needed now, so she put on her shoes and jacket and gathered his leash as he sat by the door with an exfloofant expression.”

Newfloof

Newfloof (floofinition) – (Floof slang (flang)): A new animal to the area, household, or organization.

In use: “Candice came in with a small puppy in her arms, her newest rescue. The other housefloofs immediately came up to welcome the newfloof with sniffs and licks.”

Mockfloof

Mockfloof (floofinition) – Animal or human pretending to be an animal or another species.

In use: “Many people and their pets enjoy it when the humans become mockfloofs, getting down on all fours to meow, growl, or bark, pretending to lick or bite their pet, sniffing them as the animals often do the people, and even ‘wagging their tails’.”
