Floofsomnia

Floofsomnia (floofinition) – Human inability to deeply sleep unless an animal is present.

In use: “Floofsomnia studies show that cat and dog pet owners are about equally divided about the need to sleep with a pet, but that cats will generally take over more of the bed.”

Anefloofia

Anefloofia (floofinition) – Missing an animal who was never met.

In use: “Anefloofia often strikes people who enjoyed other’s happiness with animals and empathized with their losses when their fur friends departed.”

Cynofloof

Cynofloof (floofinition) – An animal who is the center of attention.

In use: “Flash insisted on being a cynofloof, easy to do, because she was a gorgeous character, sweet with her human, but not interested in relationships with anyone else.”

Floofjee

Floofjee (floofinition) – Floofhop slang for a humble animal who is part of a luxurious lifestyle, derived originally from the French word, bourgeoisie.

In use: “Floofs can’t always effectively predict how a relationship with a human will work out and become an unwitting floofjee, such as the cats who lived with Freddie Mercury, or Chelsea Clinton and her floofjee, Socks.”

Floofinent Domain

Floofinent Domain (floofintion) – Power of an animal to take over a space, area, or process.

In use: “Keyboards, laptops, and office chairs were usually identified as floofinent domain, but Billy the Cat, who didn’t like vacuuming, took up station on the machine via floofinent domain, swatting at anyone trying to move it.”

Floofatonic

Floofatonic (floofinition) – An animal’s marked lack of movement, activity, or expression.

In use: “Sleeping in shade on a day hot enough to blister paint, the floofs were admirably floofatonic. Chris wished he could get as floofatonic as them.”

Floofbassador

Floofbassador (floofinition) – An animal who acts as an emissary or envoy of other animals.

In use: “A small kitty found in the backyard was fed. Little did the family knew the little one, which they called Spartacus, was an floofbassador, but the next day, a mama cat was there for food, along with three other little ones.”
