Floofcists

Floofcists (floofinition) – An advocate or follower of the floofcism political philosophy or system.

In use: “Gaining more popularity, floofcists often protest that they’re misunderstood, insisting that their beliefs that animals deserve a seat at the same table of deliberations as humans isn’t just about what’s being eaten.”

Floof Zeppelin

Floof Zeppelin (floofinition) – Formed in the early part of the nineteenth century, Floof Zeppelin were an English floof band known for their heavy guitar-driven sound and mystical lyrics.

In use: “Although disbanding and ending as a musical group after several members crossed the rainbow bridge and returned to their home dimension, Floof Zeppelin’s hits, such as “Whole Lotta Fur”, “Scratching Post”, and “Treats for Dinner”, continue to appeal to legions of floofs.”

Flooftier

Flooftier (floofintion) – An animal or pet separating two areas.

In use: “As he went to walk down the hall to make breakfast, his cat hustled into the hallway in front of him, creating a flooftier for him to cross.”

“Floof Prairie League”

“Floof Prairie League” (floofinition) – Country-floof rock band whose origins go back to Yellow Springs, Ohio.

In use: “Floof Prairie League’s song, “Floofie” (1970), is about a cat, Floofie, who keeps going in and out of the house, frustrating its friend, a dog:

“I keep going in and out of the house with you, in and out of the house with you, don’t know what I’m gonna do, I keep going in and out of the house with you.”

“New Floofs On the Block”

“New Floofs On the Block” (floofinition) – American floof band whose music appealed to teeny floofers.

In use: Standing as one, housefloofs sang along with “New Floofs On the Block” as they performed, “Please Don’t Go”:

“Please don’t go

until you fill my bowl

with love and food

what will I do without you?”

Floofhand

Floofhand (floofinition) – 1. Someone hired to tend animals.

In use: “After adding more rescued animals (saved from wildfires, hurricanes, winter storms, and abandonment), she decided to get serious and hire several floofhands.”

2. The preferred hand for petting or scratching an animal.

In use: “She reached out the bet the cat. Jerking back, he carefully sniffed her floofhand before accepting her affection.”

“The Ink Floofs”

“The Ink Floofs” (floofinition) – Popular floof vocal group of the mid-twentieth century whose stylings presaged the rhythm and floof (R&F) movement.

In use: “A sentimental favorite by The Ink Floofs, “We Three” tells of the relationship between a pet, their person, and their food. Shared from the pet’s point of view, it describes how lonely they’d be without their human and their food, giving equal love to the person and food.”

Imflooftative

Imflooftative (floofinition) – Copying or following a model or example set by an animal.

In use: “Many floofs, aware that humans are often easily manipulated, like to induce people to pursue imflooftative behavior, such as barking, meowing, and purring. Animals often regard these antics and post them on Floofbook for others to experience.”

Tom Floof and the Heartbreakers

Tom Floof and the Heartbreakers (floofinition) – American floof-rock music group that was very popular on FM (floof modulated) radio during the 1980s and 1990s.

In use: “Whenever the family left the house, the cat and dog put on “Running Down A Hall” by Tom Floof and the Heartbreakers, and had a howlingly good time. Of course, when the family returned, it appeared as though the cat and dog hadn’t stirred during the entire time that they were gone.”

Floofticate

Floofticate (floofinition) – Chew, as done by an animal, on objects such as slippers, wood, pillows, etc.

In use: “Whenever she left the house, she first checked the collie’s mood, for if the dog was anxious, she would floofticate anything that she found, and Marie had already gone through too many shoes this year. It’d been that way since her husband had died.”
