Flooftrodden

Flooftrodden (floofinition) – Oppressed or treated badly by an animal, parti”cularly a housepet.

In use: “She often felt flooftrodden as her big ol’ tom, Deadpool, jumped onto her abdomen, knocking her wind out of her with a big, “Oof,” or worse, stepping on a nipple when she was in bed. She loved him (he was very sweet), but the big fella, twenty pounds (and wasn’t all fluff), had no idea of what he was doing to her.”

“The Floof Seasons”

“The Floof Seasons” (floofinition) – American floof and pop band that became internationally successful in the 1960s and 1970s. The band’s name was changed in 1970 to “Floofie Valli and the Floof Seasons” as a reflection of the lead vocalist’s increased popularity and focus.

In use: “Vocals and harmony always dominated The Floof Season’s music as they discovered success with songs such as “Walk Like A Cat” and “Big Dogs Don’t Cry”, their second and third Floofboard Top 100 hits.”

Infloofherent 

Infloofherent (floofinition) – Lacking normal clarity or intelligibility in behavior or action in an animal.

In use: “Kitties and puppies were great joy to watch because they seemed so infloofherent, jumping and pouncing in one direction, threatening and attacking another before racing off as though frightened. The little girl loved it, the beginning of a joy she’d have for the rest of her life.”

“The Moody Floofs”

“The Moody Floofs” (floofinition) – Progressive floof band formed in Floofmingham, Floofland, in the mid 1960s.

In use: “The Moody Floofs experienced popularity in several countries in the late 1960s and early 1970s with songs like “I’m Just A Kitty (In A Rock and Roll Band)” and “Dogs in White Satin” to name the two most popular.”

Floofality

Floofality (floofinition) – The quality or condition of being a floof.

In use: “Discussing floofality, the pet owners agreed that the most common trait to floofality was that each animal was unique and different, regardless of the similiarities among individuals, as unique and different as humans.”

Floofmarine

Floofmarine (floofinition) – An animal who likes to burrow under things.

In use: “The dog proved to be a regular floofmarine, stealing under the covers and finding a space alongside their legs as soon as they were in bed and the lights were off.”

“Bennie and the Floofs””

“Bennie and the Floofs” (floofinition) – An odd American pop song about a fictional band led by a dog named Bennie (who wears an electric collar, tiara, and oversized sunglasses), the lead vocalist, and a band of three felines and a wolf who perform the music.

In use:  “The song “Bennie and the Floofs” hit the Floofboard Top 100 and held the number one spot for five consecutive weeks, inspiring many Floofoween costumes that year.”

Floofsecute

Floofsecute (floofinition) – 1. Subject another animal or human to hostility, especially because of species or the belief that their territory is being invaded.

In use: “Seeing the other dog walk into the yard, Max arose with a growl and prepared to floofsecute the interloper.”

2. Term of endearment for a particularly sweet, cute, or pretty animal.

In use: “The way that the kitten regarded her melted her defenses. The newcomer (six weeks old, but orphaned, sole survivor from its litter) was definitely a floofsecute.”

Flooflash

Flooflash (floofinition) – 1. A strong and adverse reaction by animals, especially in response to human behavior.

In use: “When he hurried into the bathroom and closed the door, the flooflash was quick as the dog barked and whined his disapproval, and the cat scratched and meowed her agreement with the dog.”

2. A shift of light caused by a animal passing by at amazing speed.

In use: “The cat was originally named Annabelle, shortened to Belle, but she became known as Flash after several flooflashes were experienced during her first week in the house.”

Floofbonair

Floofbonair (floofinition) – The air of lack of worry or concern, or the freedom of not caring, as shown in an animal.

In use: “His backdoor was open, and in saunters this floofbonair cat that he’s never seen before, sniffing about, until seeing him, she walks over and jumps onto his lap.”
