Floofvict

Floofvict (floofinition) – 1. Expel an animal from a location, especially a pet.

In use: “When he went to his office to work he had to floofvict a cat from his keyboard and a dog from his chair.”

2. Declare an animal to be guilty of an offense according to the house rules.

In use: “Fur on the counter was the evidence. “Harley,” she said, turning on the cat. “You were on the counter. The cat returned on innocent gaze. “Fur.” She swiped her fingers across the surface and held them up in the ginger’s direction. “Floofvicted.” Marching over, she said, “You will be punished with hugs and kisses.” Picking him up, she began kissing his head with loud noises. Efloofcidate (floofinition) – 1. To clarify or explain to an animal.

In use: “No matter how many times Jane caught the cat on the kitchen counter and efloofcidated that the counter was one of the places where he didn’t belong, he just kept going on it like he was making a point.”

2. To clarify or explain, by an animal to a human.

In use: “Whenever Jose went to see why his dog was barking, the dog immediately began efloofcidating to him about what was going on through yips and whine.”

The Floofspring (floofinition) – California floof punk rock (flunck) band formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California.

In use: “One of The Floofspring’s most well-known songs is “Wake Up and Play”, which was a Floofboard Top 100 hit for the band.”

Question Floof and the Floofsterians

Question Floof and the Floofsterians (floofinition) – American garage floof rock (flock) band originally formed in Floofinaw, Michigan, active in the 1960s.

In use: “Question Floof and the Floofsterians created a hit with “Ninety-six Hairs” but failed to significantly chart again, earning them one-hit wonder status.”

Floof du Jour (floofinition) – Animal of the day in Froonch.

In use: “People often mentioned the floof du jour, but she could never select just one for such an honor. They were always all the floof of the day to her.”

ForeignFloof

ForeignFloof (floofinition) – Prock floof band from Amerifloof and Floofland formed in 1976 in Floof York.

In use: “Formed in the late seventies, ForeignFloof hit the charts with “Dirty White Dog”, “Floof Games”, and finally “I Want to Know What You’re Eating (I Want You to Show Me)”, their biggest hit.”

Floofsient

Floofsient (floofinition) – An animal who stays in a place on a temporary basis or for a brief period.

In use: “People often bring animals in as floofsients, fostering, socializing, and protecting the animals as they heal. Sometimes the floofsients decide that they’ve found home, making it a foster fail.”

Pobrefloof

Pobrefloof (floofinition) – Poor animal.

In use: “Wanting to go for a walk but being denied, the dog sulked with his leash in his mouth. “Pobrefloof,” she said, walking by. “I’ll walk you before I leave, honey, but I can’t now, I’m not dressed yet.” Sighing, the dog dropped the leash.”

So we’re privileged to witness, once more,

Thursday’s Theme Music

This is one of those songs that I asked of myself, “What the fuck are they singing?” when it was first released.

It came out in 1987, before the Internet became the familiar household pet it now is. That meant learning what was being sung wasn’t easy. I listened to the song and discussed it without others. Beer was involved. You’d think that with beer involved, a solution would be found, but nobody knew the words.

Hell, it’s no wonder, now that I can use the Intertubes to find the lyrics:

I cry wolf give her mouth to mouth
Like a movin’ heartbeat in the witchin’ hour
I’m runnin’ with the wind a shadow in the dusk
And like the drivin’ rain yeah like the restless rust
I never sleep

Hmmm? Yet the song works as FM rock fodder, delivering that need for a chorus, something that everyone understands and can sing with them:

Electric guitars and lots of pounding drums and thumping bass go a long way to making the song memorable. It’s definitely modern rock.
