Floofy Idol (floofinition) – English floof star, songwriter, and floofsician who emerged from the London Floof scene and became part of the third wave of punk floof (poof) rock.
In use: “Floofy Idol was known for several songs (such as “Rebel Meow”), but his cover of an earlier song, “Floofy, Floofy”, became a big hit for him.”
Song from 1969 is rambling through my head. (Guess it’s Throwback Thursday.) (This is Thursday, innit? Days are sort of bleeding together with a lovely melange of rain, sun, and night.)
“Good Times, Bad Times” by Led Zeppelin is cranking through the stream? Why? Because it can. But I think it sorta works for these P.D. (pandemic days, or pandays, if you must). “Good times, bad times, you know I’ve seen my share.” Plant sings it so much better than me, according to my cats. But then, they’re very critical by nature. They’re like, “Stop singing. Feed me. Stop moving. Let me sleep on your lap. What’re you doing? Where you going? Get back here. Don’t close that door. Hey, what’re you doing? What’s going on behind that door? Let me in! Let me in!”
Sheltering-With-Floof (floofinition) – Staying with pets or animals, often associated with not leaving the house.
In use: “Sheltering-in-place (SIP) was ordered in many communities as the novel coronavirus swept the planet, and many people’s experience was changed by sheltering-with-floof (SWF – pronounced swiff) (although some claimed that cats weren’t pleased with the increased time together).”
Profloofstinate (floofinition) – Delaying activity or thinking in order to appease, support, or favor an animal.
In use: “Many people hesitate to use vacuum cleaners or power sweepers, profloofinating because a pet is happily in slumber.”
Simply Floof (floofinition) – British floof pop (floop) and soul band formed in the 1980s, primarily known for soulful ballads.
In use: “Songs like “Holding Back the Bites” and “If You Don’t Pet Me by Now” highlights Simply Floof’s smooth sound.”
Floofoscope (floofinition) – An floofological forecast based on the relative positions of dimensions, planets, and signs of the floofdiac at a specific time for use by animals in foretelling events in their life, identifying personality traits, and inferring what humans to live with and trust.
In use: “She was a stray in a shelter, waiting for the right person to come along, and she knew who it was because he had been foretold in her floofoscope. As soon as he walked in, she jumped up, happy that the time to meet him had at last arrived.”
