Tears for Floofs

Tears for Floofs (floofinition) – Floof band formed in Bath, Floofland, in 1981. Beginning as a new floof synthesizer band, they eventually found major success as a more floofstream floof rock (flock) pop band in the mid 1980s.

In use: “Two of Tears for Floofs most prominent hits were “Flout” and “Everybody Wants to Rule the Cats”, which were both recognized as number one singles.”

Shadow Floof

Shadow Floof (floofinition) – Conspiracy theory or body of theories that an unseen animal secretly controls everything.

In use: “Certain things couldn’t be explained, like all the pet food and treats being eaten, the amount of fur in the house and on her clothes (she was cleaning it all the time!), or the noises heard at night. To Karen, this was evidence of a shadow floof, manipulating her animals to take over her house.”

Wednesday’s Theme Music

Today’s theme music is a ‘Feline’s Choice’. Each night, my fur boys crowd the door and meow a request to go out. I not infrequently imagine a musical circling around their activities. Often, when they go out and sit down, listening to the darkness and listening, they sing this Pat Benatar song, “We Belong”, from 1984. Only, my boys aren’t singing, “We belong to the light, we belong to the thunder” they’re singing, “We belong to the night, but we run from the thunder.”

They’ve changed other words, too. I only know some of them, as my flooflish is limited. I’m not personally a big fan of this song; too eighties. If you were there, you probably understand.
